@RickiTarr Blade Runner. One of my first college courses was a philosophy class that had just one question - “what makes us human?” We had to watch Blade Runner and read “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Ever since then, almost 30 years ago, I’ve asked myself the same question as we progress towards a similar dystopian fate.

@doomscroller @RickiTarr @Allkinds the Nexis6 androids just wanted to live and be free. Same as humans and basically all species. The society and environment humans create though, can be argued makes us less in touch with natural world and therefore less human over time. The only way the androids could survive was to fit in on earth and get jobs. Lol, so sad. 😭

    @fulanigirl @blackmastodon my last experience was using CBX in Otay (San Ysidro adjacent). We visited family CDMX and took a flight from Tijuana. It’s convenient to use CBX because of how long it takes to cross the border back to the US without Sentri or Global Entry via San Ysidro or Otay (3-5 hour wait). CBP was on the US side, not on the Mexican side. We clearly crossed the border when they asked us for our papeles and then made us take a picture.

    @anneapplebaum sounds like misinformation to me. Why would anyone care what these people say? It’s just another way to take eyes off what is reality. Also, we can’t use this to mock the Putin state until Ukraine is completely liberated and their troops gone from Ukraine.
