@ai6yr Some of those slipstreams can be surprisingly geo-specific in my experience. My experience is going to a local park to workout, and at the right time of day, when the nearby hotel kitchen is cooking bacon, there is a amazing bacon slipstream, but only at one piece of equipment and not the others. S wonderful 😋

community, I’m tabling at an academic conference next month to spread awareness of both the Public Health Pledge (@phpledge) and precautions as paths toward inclusivity, and I’m trying to think of what would make this table both useful and appealing to passersby. @ubikaritas @phpledge "How to avoid new allergies later in life" because if post-acute viral infection syndromes include, statistically, an increase in autoimmune disorders, (which can show up as allergies) then avoiding getting covid in the first place, or again, or again and again, would help people avoid getting new allergies.

@ai6yr there are still ways to find joy with frozen non-dairy concoctions - though nothing is inexpensive anymore... yeah vegan and gluten free labels are often on highly processed foods. coconut oil is vegan plant based and gluten free after all

Our library just this week made The Palace Project app available. https://thepalaceproject.org/category/the-palace-project-app/

It has more options, but can integrate with Overdrive, so not a solution
to the immediate problem.

@ai6yr And even if the fitting looks good, (and passed inspection by the gas co) some of the old valves have seals that can go bad, and then you smell something, and the gas co comes back and says, yup, you have a leak.

Apparently someone is trying to demonize sheet mulching in local circles based on a study of chicken bedding which found that shredded cardboard had more than double the measured PFAS compared to wood chips.

unrelated use case aside (and ignoring the use of high PFAS cardboard rather than shipping boxes), by volume, with sheet mulching, you would do a layer of cardboard and 3" of wood chips to have the same effect as about 12" of woodchips alone.

So even if a layer of cardboard were 15 µg and 3" of chips were 6µg, you'd be looking at 21µg for sheetmulched vs. 24µg for chips.

But the figures are by weight. woodchips are 23.72 lbs per sq ft. cardboard is .026 lbs per sq ft.
