Honest question: I measure gases as a career, and I’m always fixing leaks in my instruments*. How do people who push as a home heating solution propose to avoid catastrophic leaks?

*I use Swagelok fittings, the same ones used on airplanes and in industrial settings.

The people who push as a home heating solution have no reality based idea what they are talking about and should not be taken seriously.

*Except if you are getting your cells from Korea.

Given that we make exactly zero solar cells in the United States at present, the latest solar trade case seems to have less to do with protecting U.S. manufacturing and more to do with QCells and First Solar shutting their competitors - including other American manufacturers - out of the market.

And every time we do this, it incrementally slows the .

GM Energy, the EV-focused subsidiary of General Motors, has rolled out a new product suite that will let owners of GM-made EVs transfer power between the vehicles and their homes. This technology — colloquially known as bidirectional charging — effectively transforms your EV into a power source for your home during emergencies.

Other current vehicles with this ability include the Ford F-150 Lightning, The Hyundai Ioniq and the Kia EV6.

Only be available in CA, FL, MI, NY, and TX for now.

The consumer switch will happen as fast as EVs in the US are available for far less than the current exorbitant price of $40,000. For example, the Chinese EVs priced elsewhere for $14,000.

Know your enemy:

Google is now blocking news articles from California-based news organizations for residents of the state who use Google to search the web.

The tactic is being deployed in the face of pending California laws forcing the company to pay for journalism, forcing tech companies like Google and Meta to pay news publishers for news content.

These findings haven’t stopped opponents of renewable energy projects and fossil fuel front groups from spreading misinformation about the whale deaths as part of their work to obstruct clean energy projects.

I'm no authority, to say the least, but from reading and following this subject for a number of years it seems that for decades the oceans have been predictably "heroic" in absorbing atmospheric heat which has been disbursed in their waters so uniformly that it's been virtually unmeasurable. Those days are now over and the seas have reached their limit and can absorb no more without their temperatures rising.
