Schedule a call by inputting the other’s Fediverse handles.
Invitees will see a Join button in your invite post to join the call.

  • Calls are done using Peer-To-Peer (private)
  • Encryption (GCM, ECDSA)
  • Use AR Video effects.
  • Works for iOS and Mac.

For Sora, it curates videos from follows, various timelines, and also searches for videos based on the local interests profile (predicted keywords). As long as someone makes a post containing video, it can be displayed within Sora’s Watch tab.

Of course! I mean if loops has an API, I will happily integrate that.

I did a speed demo of SoraSNS today at ✨🧑‍💻

This is the first related event I joined and I was surprised by the passion and energy of the people building a better, decentralized future together👏

It’s truly a wonderful event!

I got more hyped about the Fediverse!

Next year I’ll definitely join again and even attempt to run a session.

Thanks for trying out Sora!

I’m sorry for the issue. The app has just been released about 2-3 months ago so there’s still a lot of features and improvements I’m working on.

To open post in Safari, click the more button … and open in web (carries login info) or use the share menu.

It’d be very helpful if you can send me a screenshot of the link that caused the crash. I’ll also look into Apple’s crash logs.

Also, I’ll add the option to easily open posts in Safari within the menu when you long press a post.

Just a side note. 👨‍💻 If you’re interested in knowing the detail how the bug occurred:

Sora tries to resolve the elements within a post. By default, for email address look alike, the app tries to resolve the profile. However, since Threads is not fully federating yet, it failed to treat it as mention and tries to open email client (which caused the issue).

If the username begins with @, then the app treats it as a handle instead of email directly.

I’ll fix this.

@me Hi! Really liking but I’m having an issue with posting on BlueSky
I pinged you over there, but I figured I’d check in with you over here as well.
Issue is that I (usually) get an error when I reply to posts.
The post actually happens, but I have to close the window and tell it to discard the post.
(caused me to accidentally post like eight duplicate replies before I realized what was happening😂)

It seems that there’s an issue with opening the post and closing the composer after successfully posting it.

✨I’ll fix it today and submit an update to Apple. I’ll let you know when it’s available to download.
