Like some of the "articles" in question... are pretty fucking stupid. [And also] you probably shouldn't threaten to ban people so quickly, simply for sharing them. Makes one wonder which parts of these stupid articles would inspire such a response.

@sidereal GHQ and some of the NARA branches have been so obnoxious and unhelpful too. Getting anything from them has become an insane chore.

@sidereal My branch and a few others have resolved to work autonomously of GHQ unless we have to involve them. It's just not worth the trouble to gentle-parent our continental headquarters.

I don't have much experience with the weird content policing within the IWW (I'm too lazy to use InterWob) but it sounds just so 💀.

We're currently having an Arctic blast here in the Pacific Northwest and I just cannot stop thinking about the homeless folks who are going to die from the complete lack of shelter available in our state. In Corvallis, our useless city council has failed, for years, to meaningfully shelter and help homeless folks during harsh weather, or at all. So, Linn-Benton County folk, if you do make it out and about today, please help someone get to a warming shelter.

I really do think that if Amtrak goes ahead with accessible bilevels (requiring elevators, as outlined in their concepts earlier this year; https://www.trains.com/trn/news-reviews/news-wire/amtrak-reveals-new-long-distance-trainset-concepts-at-accessibility-hearing/), the amount of maintenance is going to turn into an absolute nightmare when they start breaking down. I don't think the tech will be as sturdy as it needs to be. Single-level sets are a much safer, and cheaper, bet.

I want to be very clear about two things.

  1. The U.N. resolution to call for a ceasefire, while a huge hurdle that I'm glad has been won, is not a binding agreement like it would be from a Security Council resolution. We still have so much advocacy to do.
  2. Not one of our elected officials who failed to call for a ceasefire gets peace. They have made it clear they are not swayed by genocide.

The U.S. was the only country to veto the ceasefire resolution. The only one. The sole detractor. Because it didn't condemn Hamas. Because it didn't adopt U.S. diplomacy.

The genocidal Zionist Israeli project must be completely dismantled, and those officials directly responsible for its implementation, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with their enablers in the successive U.S./European regimes, must be held accountable and brought to justice. It is crucial to recognize that any other solution falls short of what is needed. If we genuinely desire peace, it is essential to acknowledge that Israel poses a significant threat not just to West Asia, but to global peace as well. According to international law, colonial occupations have only one right: the right to dissolve. It is clear that the two-state solution was never viable, and rewarding Zionism with land is not a just solution. Therefore, it is time to dissolve Israel once and for all and restore the land home to the rightful owners: the Palestinian people. The Bronx Antiwar Coalition stands in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and supports the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea, by any means necessary. We demand the total and complete dismantling of the Zionist Israel state and the implementation of a "One State Solution" that includes the right of return for Palestinians. Historic Palestine, as a secular state where all religious and ethnic groups can live with equal democratic and human rights, must be restored. Three things to keep in mind:

  1. Talk or condemnation of Oct. 7th without the context of the last seven decades of Medinat Yisrael's violence is shallow, uncaring, unserious, and imperialist.

  2. No form of Palestinian resistance, or any colonized folk, has been seen as acceptable. "Not this way" is not the rebuttal of peace you think it is.

  3. Being a terrorist means nothing when the countries calling you terrorists are on stolen land, stolen by terrorism.
