If you're looking for something to reflect upon to commemorate this #nakba76 anniversary, I hope you will take a look at this documentary made by Israelis, about an Israeli researcher who looked into the Nakba events of a particular town, Tantura, and what he found. It was an Official Selection of the 2022 Sundance film festival.
It is not an easy watch. But a very necessary one.
This podcast is good at making #history easier to digest, if you're interested--
Up this week is Zionism, Zionist #propaganda, Balfour, the guy chosen to mess up Palestine, who had previously wreaked havoc in Ireland and denied entry to Jews fleeing the holocaust who were hoping to find refuge in the UK. And Herzl &more stuff.
1/3 Inaccuracies of the #NYT story ('ScreamsWithoutWords) and Sheryl Sandberg's new ridiculous hoax movie effort based on the shoddy, unsupported, unretracted mass r@pe NYT story. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6lcwepx4Nw/
This debunking is important since US audiences are primed to believe Palestinians are guilty of everything being suggested or done to them and more. (Sound familiar? #Superpredators, anyone?)
The NY Mayor said that there must be “outside agitators” organizing the Campus Protests, because “all tents look the same, and everything is so organized!”
Looks familiar? Yes, in 2014, HK students involved in the Umbrella Movement were also accused by the HK govt with a similar logic
All govts that dont like dissents are equally dumb and shameless
I am sorry but keep saying that the 7 Oct was the most serious violence on the State of Israel as 1200 people died isn’t going to get my sympathy: it just shows me how safe Israel has always been
It would only take less than 7 days on average for people in Gaza to meet that death toll. Not counting West Bank. And most of them were women and children.
Two leading US pro-Palestine groups, National Students for Justice in Palestine and (NSJP) and American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), have been accused in a federal lawsuit of spreading propaganda on Hamas's behalf.
In a BBC documentary on 🇵🇸, the journalist asked a group of (WB) Palestinian kids: have any of you had the experience of a family member or friend being killed due to the violence here?
Their responses: “Do you mean this year?”
When it was clarified that the journalist was asking “in general”, the unanimous answer was: everyone, everyone has had that experience.
Israel is committing one of the worst atrocities in modern history.
The attack on Rafah is unlawful and monstrous.
The "evacuation plan" is a bad joke. There are no services or safety in an already overcrowded area.
Even if moving somewhere else was a possibility, there has not been enough time for hundreds of thousands of hungry, sick and scared people, mostly children, to move.
📢Gathering for Gaza Monologues

Student protestors have historically been proven right about every single war they protested.
Column writers at Reputable Newspapers, Think Tankers and Hawkish political operators have, conversely, been proven wrong every single time they've supported imperial war.
Stand with the students.
Stand with Palestinians.
Stop the genocidal war machine.
The Hidden War in Gaza and the West Bank (Bellingcat, 2024-04-29)

“Using open source imagery #Bellingcat and our partners Scripps News examined widespread destruction of property inside the Gaza Strip and looked at deteriorating conditions there.
“Meanwhile, conflict in the West Bank has continued to escalate despite being overshadowed by events in Gaza. Bellingcat and Scripps News used satellite imagery to identify ongoing expansion of West Bank settlements and reveal the heightened tensions on the ground…”
