I would be pissed with Google’s new fake search if I was WebAIM. It directly sources WebAIM (from an old survey), but it doesn’t link to the WebAIM survey results it cites. Instead it links to BoIA (an company) and Assistiv Labs.

The option to see web results is buried in the “More” kebab, and even then the link is third from last.

Reminder not to use Google to search (in case you still do).

I have been reading through the State of HTML 2023 results site (https://2023.stateofhtml.com/) and I am so disappointed in the overall efforts — both in the questions and in the code.

This may become a blog post.

I filed 3 issues today, have filed 15 since late 2022, and only 2 have been addressed:

But these surveys keep pushing problematic info in problematic UIs, giving the wrong impression of… everything.

A while back, I re-created a graphic that featured in Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyssey. It was a very minor graphic in the film's cornucopia of special effects but I've always liked it. My original version of the BBC 12 logo contained a couple of errors (including the typeface), so I thought it was time to update it...

@graue @luis_in_brief the danger, of course, isn't the technology itself - which will never be powerful enough - but the human decision makers (bosses, CEOs, etc) that then decide it's just good enough and outsource decision-making to it (like they already are when it comes to screening job applications, hiring human writers/artists, etc)

@mattly not sure if "challenging", but as an ambient/electronic afficionado, i'm always a bit hesitant with old Vangelis stuff like Albedo 0.39 and some of its jazz/prog instrumental noodlings ... but do enjoy them once i get to them in the end

Je viens de faire une présentation au travail sur « l’accessibilité pour les nuls » en écrivant tout en Markdown dans , en présentant ça sous forme de slide grâce à Obsidian Slides et en archivant le tout dans notre wiki juste en faisant un copier/coller du Markdown dans une nouvelle page wiki.

J'aime quand un plan se déroule sans accroc.
