But honestly, that platform is so incredibly clunky, especially for authors, it has massive issues with moderation and it really looks as if it crawled into 2024 from the 1990s and is just waiting to die of neglect.

I've been watching a few social networks and two of them are getting to be 95% repetitive smarmy political content on one side. Whether I agree or disagree with it, MASTODON is the only place I ca count on seeing at least 50% of the posts that are of some interest, and plenty of these are very interesting.
The repeats of the same old shit are rare. The filters handle the rest.

If a site's data is breached, after changing the password, is it necessary to redo the 2FA in the app by removing and redoing? (Does not apply to SMS or email 2FA, obviously). Emails, IP, passwords and 2FA info hacked according to #haveibeenpwned

What became known as Viagra (sildenafil citrate) was originally developed as (and eventually actually was also used as) a blood pressure and angina control drug. During the original clinical trial phase, an alert nurse noticed something odd. I like the fact that all of a sudden, a small change made the "boost" icon show better when you've boosted a post with something in the middle of the arrows. The colors blue and black were too close for me to tell and I can only imaging people who have less color perception were frustrated.

As I look through all the social networks (except Meta's), I ask myself what value-added people get from them. I know on Mastodon, I can count on some interesting things coming by on most days. Two of the places I visit are so echo chamber-y, I assume people feel their rants matter, but they don't. I just can't hang out long at a place without word filters. Even Twitter is tolerable with those! To see, day after day, same US election propaganda is intolerable. I already know who I vote for.
