No, it doesn’t, it uses proper curly quotes and other typographically-correct punctuation in comments and strings.

Really making me not want to link to my source code on Codeberg and I don’t want to migrate elsewhere right now when everything else is working so well.
You’d think that in 2024 you’d have an easier way to enter a true minus sign glyph (−) instead of a dash (-) in Linux.
And this isn’t just one for typography geeks either, it’s an accessibility issue.
Imagine you have a minus button in a web form. A screenreader would read it as a dash button unless you used the proper character. (The workaround, of course, is to use aria-label.)

I think at least part of the reason free software apps lack in ambition is that many of us don't use any mainstream apps, so we're not even aware of the cool stuff we could be stealing from them.

Expanding on some recent posts on Mastodon, I wrote my entry for this month's IndieWeb Carnival (topic: Digital Relationships).
TL;DR — Words are crucial to build a sense of online community, however many of us have been using them straight out of a soulless corporate lingo in order to sell ourselves as a product.
@kb6nu I would say go for Codeberg, but unfortunately most of the people who would contribute are still on GitHub, so I would mirror the repository there!
