@verge I did Dashing in NYC area for the month between jobs. At least half of deliveries yielded no tip. I had a perfect customer rating and was gold tier, but still didn’t consistently get tips.

Between app purchases and donations to the network itself, I’ve spent more money in a year on Mastodon than I have in a lifetime on traditional, centralized algorithmic social media.
