#Nato is developing multiple “land corridors” to rush #US troops and armour to the front lines in the event of a major European ground war with #Russia.
American soldiers would land at one of five ports and be channelled along pre-planned logistical routes to confront a possible attack by #Moscow.

“International campaign group Global Witness created 16 ads targeting Irish audiences with false information about this week’s EU elections and tried to get them approved by three platforms.
TikTok, which is particularly popular with young voters, approved all 16 for publication, YouTube caught 14 while X filtered all the ads and suspended the group’s fake accounts, Global Witness said in its report.”
Solovyov reproduces the DW videos from burning Vovchanks and in his usual style viciously warns “this is how German towns will look like”. But I have an impression that Russians, as usual, completely misread Europe, which is probably largely due to a genuine belief in the ‘Gayrope’ stereotype they themselves have constructed.
Of course, such terrible images from Ukraine have a paralysing effect on some part of the population, but the reaction of the overwhelming majority is likely hatred and resistance to the aggressor. These pictures trigger the most fundamental “fight or flight” instincts but, most importantly, it’s difficult to continue using this “Russia just wants peace” nonsense.
As a reminder, in 1990s Central and Eastern Europe, massive support for joining #NATO was built on just such images from burning and ruined Chechnya… Russians have a cultural ability to almost instantly switch from extremely friendly to extremely violent narratives, and then back. Most interestingly, the perception of these changes can be momentary, each of them can fade away pretty quickly and it’s not treated as something weird. But in the West, once a violent person shows their cards once, everyone else starts planning for the worst…

Leaked internal documents have exposed the activities of a Russian state-backed legal defence foundation that European intelligence agencies and analysts say is in fact a #Kremlin influence operation active in 48 countries across Europe and around the world
More than 40 #Pravfond documents, obtained by the Danish public broadcaster DR, show that the organisation has had a number of documented former intelligence agents among its leadership

The "chat control" has some nostalgic and déjà vu kinda ring to it, especially for people like me who have lived in Iran or similar places, because:
>> the chats of employees of security authorities and the military are also to be exempted from chat control.
So the affairs (romantic, sexual, political, financial, ...) of people at power are ironclad protected, but general public should live in a complete disadvantage and bring monitored.
@ManyRoads So it seems like it’s a lot of talk for politicians to clean their images and appearing tough.
And a second batch of talk is with the ”escalation” vatniks. Boosting their followings and helping Putin’s party line so easily goes hand-in-hand, you’d think there might be a connection.
Yet, the limits were merely loosened a little. No deep strikes to where it matters with ATACMS.
It helps, but Ukraine still fighting with one arm tied behind their back. 😰
It really is counterproductive for western politicians to proclaim in a loud voice that restrictions to hit Russia have been lifted, while plenty still stand.
The few voices I still hear from within Russia tend to shift the blame and mock Ukraine for lack of ability instead.
You see how that could play into Putin’s hands, don’t you?
Why can’t the western politicians play this game? 🤔
Ukraine has the right, and the responsibility, to protect its people. And we (NATO) have the right to help Ukraine uphold its right to self-defence. #StandWithUkraine#LetUkraineStrikeBack

zou het liefst nog Hyves gebruiken, want dat begreep ze uiteindelijk.. 😉

#NATO chief Jens #Stoltenberg will ask allies to pledge a minimum of 40 billion euros ($43.37 billion) annually to fund military aid for #Ukraine.
With uncertainty over future #US support for Ukraine lingering due to the possible return of Donald #Trump to the White House, foreign ministers will on Friday discuss ways to put military aid for Ukraine on a more solid long-term footing.
