Here's a thing; if you are going to order food from a delivery company like #UberEats, #Foodora, #Wolt, #Deliveroo, #JustEat, etc. then once you have picked your restaurant, go and check the restaurant website to see if they have their own delivery option.
Sometimes they offer delivery themselves - or with a chosen partner company - and it can work out cheaper for you. Or if it's the same price, but the restaurant sometimes pockets more from the sale.

It wasn't important enough to keep regular backups. I'm not too hurt by it. But I'm still disappointed that I let this happen!
@jscholes if I just quickly want to look at stuff now, I just press dot in a repo and it opens it in github.dev which is basically VS Code. So those were repos I did want to keep for one reason or another. But now that I've ruined it I might as well clear it all out and start over.
@talon I've never tried that, but will give it a go. The file viewer on GitHub itself is also just a read-only text field now, at least for us, so that also makes things easier than they used to be with the weird table.
Most of my work is so detatched from hands-on development these days I kinda feel like I'm goofing off at work when I spend all morning reviewing PRs on GitHub 😂
But this IS part of my job. No goofing! It just happens to be fun and particularly satisfying!

Something I tell my software students a lot when they’re looking for jobs is to remember that a shockingly large number of job descriptions are written by people in HR who have next to zero understanding of the industry, the specific team, or the business need.
All they’ve got to work with is fragments they’ve heard without comprehension, coming to them through a terrible game of corporate telephone.
And this at a time where we desperately need diverse voices and views on our teams.
I am at 34 years in this business and with a 100% score, projects and teams that were well mixed with genders, ages, ethnicities etc. have ALWAYS performed better AND been more fun to work for.
@inthehands This is going to get so much worse with outsourced services job descriptions banks and, especially, LLMs to give false confidence that the listing, screen questions, etc. are okay because they have fewer glaring errors. The obvious grammatical or technical errors were embarrassments but they did at least give readers a cue that there wasn't a skilled reviewer in the loop at that stage.
Now ever penny-pincher is going to think they can pay HR even less because the tools do the work.
