Pregnant women in Missouri, Texas, and Arkansas aren't allowed to divorce. For many reasons, this is terrible for abused women.
So, how is it that women keep voting for Republicans? How much abuse is needed to get these same women to make decisions for their own good, and for the good of their progeny?
I worked for the #ProbationService for 15 yrs. The last 2 for the #privatesector after it was privatised. This article reminded me of my failed attempts to get an extremely risky #domesticabuse case classified as high risk. Bc of privatisation, this meant he would be transferred to the #NPS (who supervised high risk cases) 1/4
My ex, who has been abusive since day 1, and their new partner have been harassing my partner (@Casino) and I. Last night (2/24/24) they cornered me by myself and started an argument with me. They berated me and yelled at me for everything that happened with my relationship with my ex, and refused to allow me to keep my part of our cat's ashes (even though I was his primary caregiver for years especially when he got cancer last year). I was passive the entire argument and pleaded them to let me keep the ashes that I paid for.
At one point, their partner got in my face, screaming at me, and then threatened physical violence toward me. He had to leave the apartment we all share or he would have hurt me, meanwhile I still stayed calm and passive. This confrontation has made me, and my partner, feel very unsafe.
We need to get out ASAP. We contacted the apartment's leasing office to transfer us to a studio apartment. They can transfer us but we need the money to do so.

Ruby Franke, a Utah mother who once hosted a popular YouTube channel on parenting, pleaded guilty to four felony counts of second-degree aggravated child abuse. She pleaded not guilty to two other charges. "Matt Rife walks on stage to a crowd of hundreds of people. To start his Netflix comedy show, Natural Selection, he opens with a joke about domestic violence. Everybody laughs. People clap. Some whistle, some cheer." writes Olivia Cleal.
“Testing the water, seeing if y’all are going to be fun or not,” Rife continued.
“I figured we start the show with domestic violence, the rest of the show should be pretty smooth sailing.”
Friends in the U.S. The government is conducting a test today that will force a message on all connected devices. People (almost exclusively women) suffering domestic violence who have hidden phones are at risk. Please let people know so they can turn them off completely.
So a lot of people who are in unstable, abusive, and/or periodically violent living situations keep cell phones hidden for emergencies.
If you know anyone in such a situation, make sure they know about FEMA's testing of its Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system next Wednesday (10/4). This test will bypass the phone's silencing features. To keep the phone quiet during this alert, it has to be completely powered down.
This alert is scheduled for the following times:
Wednesday 10/4
2:20pm EST
1:20pm CST
12:20pm MST
11:20am PST
Domestic violence victims are being made homeless or forced to live with their abusers. In some cases, survivors have been sexually or physically assaulted after councils failed to house them
