Before permitting another McMansion or cookie cutter apartment complex, Denver developers should be required to house every homeless person and fix all the potholes on the freeways. #mayortalk#denver#co#crapitalism
I just caught my first ever #lightning bolt. The storm over South #Denver is lighting up the night sky with huge bolts and I pointed my #fujifilmxt5 out the window on high-speed capture for 31 frames and got one.
Urban Putt Denver is, sadly, closing its doors. However, there is an opportunity to rescue a one-of-a-kind stand up arcade game/mini golf "hole" before it ends up in the scrap heap.
Bunker Blast 3000 was designed to resemble a retro 1980s arcade game. As a mini-golf hole, the game is played by putting into a ramp underneath the "arcade" display. Sensors inside the game read the ball's velocity and angle, and the game renders a virtual ball on the screen, rolling through a "game grid" like environment reminiscent of Tron. The game then kicks the ball out for subsequent putt attempts.
The unit is 36 inches wide and roughly 5 to 6 feet tall. It features a color display and custom software that exists as a one-of-a-kind homage to classic arcade games.
Here's the deal though: This unit needs to be moved THIS SUNDAY, June 11th, when the dismantling of Urban Putt will be going on.
If you know someone who wants, or you yourself want, a collectible and irreplaceable, fully functional and FUN AS HELL objet-d'art for your living room, barcade, or museum, my friend, Urban Putt CEO Steve Fox, will GIVE YOU the item at no charge, if you can bring enough people and a vehicle large enough to carry it away.
DM me for serious inquiries, only. No, it's too heavy to ship out of Colorado unless you're going to put it in your own box truck and carry it yourself.
I think the #Lakers season was better than most folks do. It was a late-gelling team for many reasons, injuries being a large part. Going from what, 13th, to where they ended suggests to me they need some young blood for early games & bench. It wasn't a terrible end. I remember Kobe on a struggling team for a while.
I'm more interested in what the #TrailBlazers do with the 3rd pick than in picking the petals off a late bloomer that came up against the weed whacker that is #Denver this year.
The #Lakers and #Nuggets have been battling all game, nip and tuck, in Los Angeles. 100-98 #Denver. I've not seen a lead over 3 points either way since I've been paying some attention.
Welp, good morning to us. We placed an order with Walmart's grocery delivery service last night. We then got an email notifying us that our order was canceled. So imagine our surprise when we hear someone ringing the doorbell shortly after 10 AM Denver time. It was Walmart, with the delivery we thought was canceled. As it turns out, the email we received was pertaining to the previous order we'd placed. You know, the one that arrived a day late? On the bright side, it appears we may not have been charged for that previous order. So, all's well that ends well, I guess. Good morning from just outside #Denver.
If you’ve never been to the Denver CO Casa Bonita, you may have seen it on a South Park episode. A dining experience with cliff divers, gorilla chases and sub par Mexican food, all mixed with the smell of chlorine and sopapillas.
During the pandemic, it unfortunately closed down and looked like it wouldn’t come back. 😔 But the creators of South Park actually bought it and it’s being renovated! Can’t wait to visit again. 😅 #CasaBonita#Denver#SouthPark

Was really vibing with They Might Be Giant's Opening number in #Denver tonight. I felt so seen as a disabled woman who grew up on the coast when they played this song. Still sharp as ever, they are. Love it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okT-EgXUD0M
