50 years ago tonight, television (in their original lineup with richard hell) tape an appearance on the underground tonight show at cafe wha?, alongside #PattiSmith & david peel & jackie curtis & others, aired on #nyc public access #television sometime later that year, surfaced incredibly in 2022: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLlhYiN4gmU#punk [1/2]

I came across this charming car with a cherry blossom design in the heart of Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn, New York CIty. The find was fitting since there were many cherry blossom trees in the area when I stumbled upon the car on April 23, 2024.

#NYC's corrupt mayor (redundant phrase) had the #NYPD attack/assault Columbia students protesting #Gaza genocide after a private call with several pro-#Israel billionaires who promised political donations for his reelection campaign. Watching indie films outside is one of my favorite parts of the summer. Last night's opener was in a graveyard & the season includes screenings on warehouse rooftops, ferry piers, and parks across all five boroughs.
Beyond just the setting, part of why I live in #nyc is the chance to see movies that will never be picked up for distribution. Short films, weird animations, insanely-heavy topics; there is so much incredible art being made
