A while back a Canadian designer asked me if I could provide photos of sea otter and red-necked grebe for a stamp project for Canada Post. Unfortunately his design did not make the final cut but the stamps have since been released so I am no longer bound by secrecy.

I've never been interested in stamps... but then I saw this new Swiss CHF 1.10 stamp.
It's not just a photographic reproduction: "To give the concrete wall depicted in the design a tactile dimension, cement pigments were added to the ultra-matt finish."

My new federal duck stamp arrived today, it has tundra swans this year. I haven't hunted a duck in over 20 years but still buy the stamp each year to collect. I started a new book a few years ago and here are the ones in it so far. Even if you don't duck hunt the stamps support wetlands conservation, which I'm a big supporter of.
