Are you interested in discovering new people who share your love for #Minecraft? If so, there are several incredible resources at your disposal for finding and engaging with fellow Minecraft enthusiasts on the #Fediverse.
One way to find like-minded individuals is by browsing profiles on Fediverse.info, where you can locate people who have registered their interest in Minecraft: https://fediverse.info/explore/people?t=minecraft
Another approach is to search for hashtags (tags) or groups related to Minecraft. You can use platforms such as @minecraft and @minecraft to connect with individuals who are discussing or sharing content about Minecraft.
The excellent @dansup (creator of @pixelfed) also maintains two very useful Fediverse tools:
➡️ https://fedidb.org - A dashboard for the Fediverse, with details of how server types and specific servers are growing.
➡️ https://fediverse.info/explore/people - An opt-in directory of people on the Fediverse sorted by keyword. You can add yourself to the directory by including special hashtags in your profile.
If you've used them before, take another look as they've both just been revamped.
Let’s kick back and grab a #KoffeeWithKyle to discuss what plans we have for today or what we have accomplished.
For me, have already watch the F1 race. I have to change up my workspace a little bit. I decided to get the monitors that work provides for us that was I can use mine for my Mac Mini and Raspberry Pi’s. Wife is going to cut my hair also, it’s past time.
There are probably other things I can mention that #Mastodon / #Fediverse needs to properly compete with the likes of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram etc; baked-in post quoting is definitely another big one that I have seen getting people riled up as well.
It is an attractive quick introduction to the Fediverse and it guides people to open Fediverse alternatives for the closed platforms that they are currently used to.
A hardy #Welcome to all the people who have joined the #Fediverse (including #Mastodon) in the last couple of weeks.
Finding your way around is more complex, but you can greatly customize your user experience by choosing the platform, #instance, and mobile #app you want to work with.
A great interactive website has been created by @stefan:
In my opinion, the future growth rate of the #Fediverse will chiefly depend on 4 factors (hypothesis):
the ease with which #newbies can find the best fit of platform and instance, as well as content.
if the speed of growth can be matched with the evolution of intra-instance and inter-instance moderation procedures and "institutions" to moderate cultural clashes
the ease of account mobility, preserving the built...

Thanks to the Raw_cats group on Vero True Social for the choice and selection of my photo on the "cat that adopts the vase"; the cat deserves it 🙂
My other #Calckey gripe will be about our oversell of good moderation undermined by the abysmal absence of a visible and engaging moderation team from the get go of the influx over on the flagship instance. The absolute lack of CWs on thousands of #uspol posts about a major transphobic personality was really traumatic tbh. I'm thankful for visible light-touch moderation & admins who encourage and use CWs themselves here at blahaj.zone. It really sets a good overall vibe for the #Fediverse to be a less-awful space for #queer & allied folk with complex intersectionalities. I think given how many folks are coming across from mastodon.social et al, it's been a grave error to let this slip.
I wonder what my previous friend group would do after #Twitter dies off
I bet they're gonna literally avoid the #Fediverse and head straight for #Bluesky (they actually aren't fond of the Fediverse for whatever reason that I'm not aware of)
Suurin ongelma dontissa on elitistinen ilmapiiri mikä on jokaisen instanssin aiheen ympärillä.
Muut syyt muuttamiselle olivat mm.
Calckey on nouseva media, jota haluan tukea
Calckeyssä on muutamia ominaisuuksia lisänä mastodoniin, josta pidän (esim. Favoriteen voi valita tunnetilaa kuvastavan emojin, viestin lainaukset sisäänrakennettu ja tuki viestien kääntämiselle)
Antennas -ominaisuus
Vivahteikkaampi UI (MFM-tuki)
Eräällä tavalla omanlaisensa pilviasema, johon voi tallentaa tavaraa
Kuvagalleriat mahdollisia
Maksimimerkki 3000 (calckey.social -joka on eräänlainen lippulaiva-instanssi, merkkimäärän säätää admin)
"Akateeminen henki"
All this talk of how Mastodon missed being the next big thing, and I'm really starting to wonder if I care. You don't want to be so small it collapses, and big enough to have lots of great folks, but being the "it" thing just seems to bring all the assholes. I remember being super excited when my birdsite account went past 10k followers, but frankly it only got worse the bigger it got. 🤷♀️
@noondlyt
I can see your point, but I tend to have a more optimistic view.
As the #French Revolution blew away the oligarchs of old (#aristocrats), I think the pendulum of history has reached its maximum amplitude: wealth concentration in the hands of #billionaires, #trusts, and #multinationals is about to reach its climax.
If the momentum of the #Fediverse could be kept, #society just might reach...
Bluesky is funded and developed and operated by THE EXACT SAME PEOPLE who sold your most recent community.
It is the product of exploitative capitalist long-termers who will sell your next community as rapidly and disdainfully as they did your last one, because THEIR INTEREST IN COMMUNITY IS IN EXTRACTING ITS VALUE.
Fedi's hard, sure. And it's not any safer, agreed.
But at least it's not made to benefit the very people who screwed us LESS THAN SIX MONTHS AGO.
The creator of Friendica, Hubzilla, and Zot is creating a Fediverse Identity Manager. It is 70% complete.
I don’t know what this will be like exactly. But because @mike is the fellow who’s also brought nomadic identity to the Fediverse, I suspect this will be a big deal.
