Garden Box is done!! The back board was warped from sitting outside for 2 years so thats why the end is off the ground, but it's nothing some cement blocks can't weigh down until it figures itself out. Now, to get a bunch of soil... #gardening#today#garden#fruittrees#edibles#home#DIY
If you are one of those people who are on .social with me, consider venturing out into the wasteland of your local discovery feed and introducing yourself to the new people and giving them tips about how to make their #home feeds good.
So many refugees from other places land in that #discovery feed on the most popular server, and then just don't come back. Who can blame them?
Go save a few new people every day before they stop coming back. Make #friends and maybe spread the word, will you?
I would like to install my speakers inside my walls and was considering hiring a contractor to create recessed shelves that are in the same wall my television is mounted to, and rear speakers inside the walls opposite the television....
Share your storage solutions, I've got some Basement Crap I'll have to stick in the basement but trying not to make it look totally like shit.
I got some of these, but at $70 on sale they're really not quite worth it. Look better than a Sterilite bin and almost like furniture, but not enough to justify the normal $40 per tote price.
Thinking of just loading up on plain ugly Home Depot bins for now
In the past I've found #problems in #software, problems with #websites, with bureaucratic processes, some of which were significant, but they all pale in comparison to this one.
6/13 #Security folks are either slapping their foreheads right now, or sitting there with their jaw hanging open.
All of this #information is #publicly available. For some people, it might be a little more difficult, but in my case, you can #guess which location I deal with based on proximity to my residence. You might have to try 2 times, but that's about it - most people will use one close to their #home, or perhaps office.
We're getting our roof replaced, and also had some electrical work done recently. Both tradies have said, more or less explicitly, that work has slowed right down because of EOFY and interest rates rises. The roofer even said he was hoping for a winter hailstorm!...
Is there a name-brand type of storage bin that combines to make a nice-ish looking stack like this?
I love that these almost look like real furniture, but it's a good amount of money to spend on some fake-name amazon seller thing that's probably rebranded 50+ times.
Sterilite and home depot stuff seems standard, but these would look nice. Then again, I just need storage in the basement.
I do not need wheels, the basement floor is not level
In this captivating close-up, we are presented with the exquisite beauty of a white dahlia flower. The delicate petals of the dahlia bloom take center stage, showcasing their pure white color and intricate details. Each petal is meticulously rendered, capturing the softness and texture that make the flower so enchanting. The dahlia’s petals radiate a subtle […]
1/34 This started out as a much shorter thread about a related topic, but Something Happened and now it's a #LifeHack#instructional thread on keeping your house comfortable and saving #money and the #environment, through the magic of air movement. It's also timely, what with it being the start of the northern-hemisphere summer and southern-hemisphere winter.
I'm reading articles on interior design, as I am wont to do, and have run across yet another designer who says that beige is boring and safe. I see a lot of that these days. Apologies for asking, but when did beige become the villain of interior design? One is free to like colors that pop, as they say, but why hate on beige? I think the living room in this photo is understated and beautiful. The designer is Colin King. #InteriorDesign#Color#Home
🎬 #HunterSThompson arrived in Woody Creek, CO in 1969 and was #home; he lived and wrote there for 45 years.
#Aspen was "The Hippie Capital of the World" but the fascists were trying to harsh their buzz and make the town respectable for the rich folks moving in.
In 1970, Hunter ran for Sheriff!
"Fear and Loathing in Aspen" (2021) is a fictionalized account of that time and place—a place now rep'd by #LaurenBoebert. 🙄
Advice for DIY hidden in-wall speakers?

How do you maintain walking / biking trails in the woods? Recently purchased a home with more than 4 acres of property. The majority of that is fairly dense woods.
OC Now might be the time to get hold of a tradie, if you can afford it
