Ola's Bhavish Agarwal is on a tirade against linkedin.
People are missing the point. I think the core issue is that linkedin should not delete his comment, even if they dont agree with the contents of it. Bhavish might have a politically incorrect (or correct) take on using pronouns, but either ways its not LinkedIn's job to delete his comment until and unless it runs fouls of government guidelines.
Also #LinkedIn ist so komplett kaputt. 🤷
You cannot visit a #LinkedIn page from a #Chrome browser without LinkedIn creating an account based on the #Google account info that you're logged in with on that Chrome browser, even if you cancel the account creation process that LinkedIn automatically starts.
Because you didn't actually create that account, you cannot delete it. You have to complete the signup process just so you can then proceed to delete it.
Does no one at #microsoft challenge this kind of implementation?
I really, really don't like LinkedIn these days. Just 🤮. The crossover of business and personal lives just isn't working for me. Who thinks, "I'm going to propose marriage this weekend, and (bonus!) I can squeeze out a stinking LinkedIn grift from it, too!"
What LinkedIn says vs. what I think LinkedIn is actually saying with this prompt 90% of the time, when they display this prompt after you leave a comment.
Why would I want to "lead the conversation" about someone else's sad news?
Da ist es also passiert: #LinkedIn ist das erste Netzwerk ueberhaupt, das ein persoenliches Profil von mir nicht nur gesperrt hat, sondern komplett vom Netz genommen hat.
Here is the thing: I won't trust any of your fancy LinkedIn charts and inforgraphics, unless they come with a link to the raw data they were built upon. Your audience has the right to draw their own conclusions.
#Meta should just offer people in #Europe (& the rest of the planet) a simple option: either opt in to have your personal information sold to advertisers, or pay a fee to use #Facebook, #Instagram, #WhatsApp & #Threads.
It works for #YouTube (I pay them to avoid ads), as well as other news organizations. It’s really that simple.
@madargon Using their services is a choice. If you do not like or trust them, do not use their platforms (it is that simple really).
Years ago I had issues with #Facebook’s ad policies (I think they code named it beacon) so I stopped using their services & eventually deleted my account.
I did the same for #LinkedIn as well. If #YouTube ever gets to the place where I do not find value in the platform, I will leave.
These services are option, not critical for my life.
I received more than 20 job ads from #Luxoft recruiters alone via email and #LinkedIn. This year already 5, but the oldest dates back to 2013. I must say they are persistent...
@Gina I deleted mine years ago, no regrets. So many nonsense that I received even in private messages. Saves so much time for me to not having to respond/read these things that I use for other stuff :)
