C'mon @nytimes, that wasn't a "challenge" to scientific orthodoxy (whatever that means) - it's been clear from the very beginning that none of the samples presented for an extremely old at came from archaeological contexts.

The Pyramid

The Transamerica Pyramid has been an iconic building ever sine I was a young boy. I recall seeing it on television during a golf tournament sponsored by I believe the Trans America Co.
At the time of completion this building, at 850 ft. tall was the fifth tallest in the world and the tallest west of the Mississippi River.

World’s Oldest Pyramid Found Not in Egypt or Americas, But in Indonesia
It’s not just an oddly shaped hill, after all.
Humans began sculpting a small hill into a larger pyramid almost 25,000 years ago, and then building layers of sand and rocks on top of that.

Hidden Chambers Found in Crumbling Pyramid 200 Years After Prediction
In 1836, Egyptologist John Shae Perring was excavating the Pyramid of Sahure (also known as Sahura) when he noticed a debris-filled passageway.
An expert on floor plans for these types of structures, he surmised there might be storage rooms beyond.
But it would take another nearly 200 years to finally confirm his suspicions.

I did 100 burpees during this workout 😅, I won't lie saying it was easy. It feels empowering though to go through such struggle 💪🔥.

Monolith of capitalism
Creates pyramids of labor

Slaves at the bottom
Whipped by managers in between
Raise stones to elevate
Those rising to the top

21st-century
Tower Of Babel will fall
Reaching a zenith

Who is controlling whom
Generations use me
Thoughts and hands
Governed by circumstance

No say
On scales of justice
But my thumb down
Tipping the balance
In all the small ways
Left to my control
