Wish progressive #BCNDP politicians were pragmatic enough to realize there's no way to revive party w/current caucus #StatusQuo w/ #neoliberal BC NDP party. If they were wiser, used critical longterm thinking skills - they'd transition to BC Green Party.
Almost every single person I know & almost every single person my family, friends & neighbours know - who were former longtime BC NDP supporters left & joined #BCGreens.
I'm not a member of any political party & am supporting Greens.
Folks resistant to destroying #StatusQuo & creating a more just & equitable society - are the same folks who personally & professionally benefit from protecting the status quo. Watch what folks like this actually do & you'll notice it doesn't fully align with what they say.
There's very good & valid reasons why I don't trust folks who are vigilant about protecting status quo.

The best party I've ever hosted & enjoyed(hosted many parties where I didn't enjoy being around in past), was a magical mystery adventures party. I hosted at my film colleague & friend's massive Malahat mansion. I had a 20 layers fruit cocktails cocktail made by a local friend. When I worked in film, my parties were outrageous. My emcee was in an inflatable dino costume & he did dino flying flop in pool🤣

I've been actively looking at places to move to - outside of #Canada. I've been thinking of leaving Canada for several years. Past year has led me to explore leaving Canada more seriously & I'm actively looking for possible places to move to now. I'm not happy with where the government is going here & after decades of activism & seeing very little #StatusQuo change here - ready to give up on Canada. It's not a safe space for me.
I just see white neoliberals taking over here. Weak moderates.
The need to keep the #gas flowing and the #colonial dream alive outweigh the immediate need to #decarbonize and #decolonize our planet and work together to survive the mess we've made.

In May, the #Queensland Liberal-National opposition provided bipartisan support for legislation establishing a 3-4 year #TruthTelling process, as a necessary precursor to the (extremely belated) negotiation of a treaty or #treaties with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples. And they did so in response to the #UluruStatementFromTheHeart (that had called for #Voice, #Treaty and #Truth).
At the time, opposition leader #DavidCrisafulli had personally encouraged people in his state to "embrace this [truth-telling] wholeheartedly". On the day the legislation passed, he said: "I believe in truth-telling and to me that means telling it like it is. […] We cannot shy away from the real experiences of #Indigenous Australians throughout history. We must tell the truth about the real challenges they are facing today."
But now, five months later yet before any of the formal processes of truth-telling have begun, he's withdrawn #LNP support for the legislation, promising to tear it up should his party be voted into government at the next election.
He claims he is doing so because he is listening—to the voices of the 'No' voters, who outnumbered the 'Yes' voters at last Saturday's #referendum.

The No campaign's primary raison d'être as well as its modus operandi was to provide as many spurious-but-respectable-sounding lines as possible for people to affirm their comfort with the #WhiteSupremacist#SettlerColonial#StatusQuo without needing to come out and say so directly.

Warum braucht es eine neue Regelung?
Das alte Gesetz (TSG) von 1981 war zu keinem Zeitpunkt ein angemessenes, gutes, grundgesetzkonformes Gesetz. Die BRD wollte die Korrektur des Geschlechtseintrages möglichst selten halten. Darum schuf sie viele Vorbedingungen.
@einfachfreddy Effektiv läuft der #StatusQuo seit 2011 darauf hinaus dass der Staat wegen dem Unwillen, #Geschlecht gem. #BVerfG-Urteil abzuschaffen (was eine valide Lösung wäre!) - Menschen regelrecht zum trans* - Sein verurteilt, als dass jene dies per Gerichtsurteil samt Kostennote abbekommen.
Allein das Procedere ist enwürdigend und IMHO gehört das nicht nur so abgeschafft sondern alle Betroffenen rückwirkend entschädigt, mit Zinsen und Schmerzensgeld!
