The #gun counts #HunterBiden faces are rarely stand-alone charges. Usually such violations are attached to ≥1 other alleged #crime, e.g. armed robbery.
Oct 2022 - Mar 2023, federal prosecutors filed 3,863 cases in which the #unlawful possession of a #firearm was the lead charge, per Syracuse’s TRAC database.
In 130 of those cases, or ~3%, the lead unlawful possession charge was related to making a false stmnt to acquire the weapon. The amt of false stmnts + drug use is likely even lower.

“The controversy about the decision to fly an American outside the home of Justice recalls St. Paul’s admonition that while some things may be lawful, ‘not all things are helpful.’

“I can offer no opinion as to whether the flag display at the justice’s house was . I won’t even opine whether my flying the flag upside-down at my house would have constituted a violation of the code of that binds me & all — except the justices.

A U.K. High Court judge has ruled that the government acted unlawfully when it approved a plan to meet climate targets without evidence it could be delivered.

The earlier warrants had a mostly symbolic impact. Russia, like the , does not accept the ’s , & the court does not try people in absentia. But it has limited Putin’s travel to countries that accept the court’s jurisdiction.

After Spying on Protest, Shopped Info to Oil Firms

by Alleen Brown and Naveena Sadasivam
04/17/2023

""More than 50,000 pages of documents were recently made public after the company behind the Dakota Access pipeline lost a court case to keep them secret."

"Leaked documents and public records reveal a troubling fusion of private security, public law enforcement, and corporate money in the fight over the Dakota Access pipeline."

"A new business model for breaking down environmental movements was being hatched in real time. On Labor Day weekend in 2016, private security dogs in North Dakota attacked opponents led by members of the Tribe as they approached earth-moving equipment. The tribal members considered the land sacred, and the heavy equipment was breaking ground to build the Dakota Access pipeline. With a major public relations crisis on its hands, the pipeline’s parent company, Energy Transfer, hired the firm TigerSwan to revamp its security strategy.

"By October, TigerSwan — founded by James Reese, a retired commander of the elite special operations Army unit Delta Force — had established a military-style pipeline security strategy.

"There was one nagging problem that threatened to unravel it all: Reese hadn’t acquired a security license from the North Dakota Private Investigation and Security Board. Although Reese claimed TigerSwan wasn’t conducting security services at all, the state regulator insisted that its operations were without a license."

Anyone who is supplying goods, services or enabling this shameful detention of people should hang their heads in shame. They have no humanity, no compassion, and are the worst of us as a country. Starmer has also said he would continue this should become a government. @ukpolitics
