The investigation is the 2nd congressional inquiry into the April 11 fund-raising dinner…. Trump told ~20 oil & gas execs that they would save far more than $1B in avoided #taxes & #legal fees after he repealed #environmental regulations….
A reminder that less than two weeks ago, it was revealed that Trump solicited a $1 billion bribe from the energy industry, offering in return the gutting of environmental regulations.
A week ago, Big Journalism had already consigned this epic scandal to the memory bin.
Had Biden done anything remotely like that, I guarantee that it would still be among the top stories of the day -- and Congress, including Democrats, would be moving toward impeachment.

Fmr Pioneer CEO Sheffield would often publicly signal to US producers -they should hold back pumping more oil & gas in order to keep prices high.
FTC alleges he also conducted a prv. campaign directly with OPEC officials: serious allegation of collusion to raise prices on Americans at the gas pump -to pad the profits of FF cos. Sheffield has campaigned to org. anticompetitive coord output reductions b/w US crude oil producers -incl. OPEC.
