Our high-level nuclear waste, spent fuel from nuclear reactors, is the most substantive creation of human civilization. It will outlast everything else humans have made.

It is how our descendants will know us, we are the people who made that.

How do we warn the 1,000s of generations who will experience risk from this radioactive waste?

Based on observations of both sides I can make following frontline assessment:

South of Bakhmut Ukrainian forces continue to push Russian forces further east. More of the eastern bank of the Siversky-Donets canal has been liberated and Russian forces are facing now being threatened in both, Klishchiivka and Andriivka.

For me, it's all about mental health, even if it sounds weird. I have a harder time to deal with the state of misinformation than reading about climate science. I can use this to make better decisions and become more active. More self-efficacy feels healthy. Better knowledge is a protective layer against all the mass-gaslighting efforts that pretend it's all fine.

It's just part of the news and the main game in town. News that isn't usually packaged for us by corporate owned news I don't do anything better with the knowledge of it, but I don't have to live in denial and all the frustrations you have to live with to maintain denial. It makes it easier to ignore a lot of the BS going around. Imagine being a part of the collective of the individual species that is creating an extinction event, and pretending it's not happening.
