PHP's use of iconv allows for immediate and easy buffer overflows, via a bug in glibc. (Other servers don't tend to use iconv in the same way, so don't appear to be vulnerable yet.)

@feld It's certainly frustrating, but having your own network dualstack to be both Ipv6/4 is fairly normal. So unfortunately cheaper built devices expect to find one that way.

Actually, some of my own devices will only connect to a router if it advertises IPv4, even if they connect via IPv6. Don't ask why.

    @RickiTarr I was part of the handball and basketball groups, and I was also part of the nerd group. We played QIII and CounterStrike. So I'd say I was neither popular nor unpopular. Everyone knew my name. No one would notice if I was missing.

    High school was also when fibromyalgia hit me, and when I had my first secret gay romance.

    Please... Please! Don't do this. It disappoints, but the cops are not your friends. A Wellness Check isn't to see if you need help or a carer. It isn't to give you anything. It is to take it away.

    5 Apr: What's the best thing about being a writer?

    I'm all about escaping into another world. My body in this one is a piece of crap. But, today... Well, today, I had a friend's daughter write a note about how she wants to be a writer, and slip it into my mailbox. Asking for me to help.

    And that's the best thing - being able to give someone else's dream, life.

    WA and Victoria have already updated the public holiday name to the King's Birthday.

    In QLD, ACT and Tasmania, the holiday is officially titled the Birthday of the Sovereign and more informally known as the Queen's birthday.

    NT and SA have scheduled holidays in their respective acts for the second Monday in June with no official title for the date — however both still refer to the Queen's Birthday

    If you see a long German or Swedish word, first of all, don't panic. It's more scared of you than you are of it. Secondly, take a closer look and you'll see it's actually just three normal words in a trenchcoat, huddling together to deter predators (French and English).

    But... No. I don't keep a journal. I used to, once. I kept a journal about how someone was hurting me, and how I was trying to not be a target. Which, unsurprisingly, was then found.

    The result of which was gay camp. You can beat someone straight, can't you? /s

    Having issues connecting a window 11 machine to the Nas via wifi ... Wifi is a nighthawk with three stations ... Any ideas ? ... Thanks in advance

    The NAS might not have full support for 5Ghz, which is the default for most nighthawk routers. If it doesn't do the signalling right, it can drop out.

    But you should be able to tell the router to default to the ol' 2.4Ghz wifi, which should be fine in most residential circumstances.
