This is usually followed by threats of death and screams of terror (not saying who's in charge of which). Keeps the marriage alive, you know.

Yesterday's knitting. In the end, both flights home were delayed (related to weather grounding everything around O'Hare airport for a while) so we were tired but we made it home!

Kiddo says Iowa was way more boring than most places we visit and he would like to never go back. 😂 The highlight of the trip for him was the milkable cow exhibit at the Children's Museum. He named the statue Bessie.

Summer and I spent the afternoon planting our vegetable starts. The only starts that are still growing in toilet paper rolls are marigolds. We might get those planted this weekend.
We planted four different types of lettuce radishes, spinach, and carrots in the ground today.
We are feeling pretty good about future salads.
Well, Summer isn't much of a salad dog, but she will eat the green beans growing down the row a piece.

@NorcalGma2 I grow my tomatoes in wine barrels because my garden has a 60-degree lean. I used to garden there regardless, but I've fallen off the hill too many times, and my bones are damaged.

@pollutionnews I heard that things are so bad in Ibiza that the local people cannot afford to LIVE there anymore. Turning someone's home into a "tourist destination" so YOU can profit, while poor folks sleep in cars and clean your floors is simply disgusting.

@claralistensprechen3rd @compost Interesting. Thanks to the mounds of pine needles here, our soil is on the acid side. I usually start mine off with a few shovelfuls of worm rich compost dug in. Over the year, I like to shovel a little compost in over the tomatoes and, once a year, the lemons and limes. Mb I should feed them more?

She trafficked children abroad for "adoption" after forcing their parents to sign documents they could not read or understand, in return for feeding their children. She also allowed her "nuns" to steal food & provisions intended for the poor, from which they profited.

Tour a garden? Never Ever - take something out of the garden, without asking first.

Not a flower, not a tomato, not a pepper.

That gardener took the time to plant, water, weed, etc - and they should be the first to reap the spoils.
