Now we’ve decided to federate our Flipboard editorial profiles and their related Magazines in order to make our collections available to everyone on Mastodon and other Fediverse networks.
Here's what we're up to. Would love your feedback!

I do have one bit of feedback to share - I just tried following four sports magazines, and I'm pretty comfortable on Mastodon by now, but WOW that was so difficult to find the right usernames, even with my experience. If flipboard.com could provide the [@ username @ flipboard.com] links to follow on each Magazine, that would be soooo helpful.
@jack@csullivan Hi Jack! It's definitely a pain point for users and something we're working on. Our experience has been that the easiest way to find Magazines is to search for the federated account name (in this case, @thesportsdesk) and the results should be a list of all that profile's Magazines to follow. We totally appreciate that this is wildly non-intuitive!
@Flipboard@jack@thesportsdesk Thanks for the feedback. Another way to find a federated Magazine is to copy the Magazine URL from flipboard.com into the Mastodon search bar. That should bring up the account. Example: This URL (https://flipboard.com/@electioncentral/trump-legal-issues-8b7bnctqy) brings up @trump.
And yes, we're hoping this will get easier over time.
