I wrote about how E2EE DMs are becoming a very real possibility for the social web. This would mean that #Fediverse users could potentially open DMs to mutuals across the social web without needing a separate account.

@Brendanjones@quillmatiq@tchambers@tomcoates I only found out about @dansup 's work on E2EE from this article. Our intent is to make something work for any AP server, and doing it in the open as part of the SocialCG. I'll review Dan's work over the next few weeks.
