After almost two years of being here as my main social channel, I’m seeing that #mastodon & the #fediverse platform reward users’ efforts the more we intentionally curate and engage with our timelines

While on the web I see a lot of posts on my timeline. But using @Tusky I don't see as much, just a handful from a few people over and over again. Or is it just me? Like the last five minutes, tried refreshing but no new posts come up. For 5 minutes?
Perhaps I'm missing something, or need to do something on the settings?
Just had another wow moment while checking https://mapstodon.space's timeline: so much rich and diverse content, in many different languages, with a fresh and spontaneous balance between on-topic and off-topic conversations, and nothing but good vibes all around!

i stopped using the advanced interface and switched to the default basic one around the time i started getting periods regularly like two years ago (they've since gone away again)
it was too much info at once to handle in such a state lmfao
Anyone in the Bay Area happen to have a connection to The Mercury News and/or SF Chronicle's digital media team? Would love to attempt to connect with them and somehow try and convince them to create their own official #Mastodon account. Not a Mastodon instance. Just an account. It'd be nice if they could use the #fediverse to better serve the local Bay Area community.
Got an email today from a very smart computer science professor who is totally flummoxed by the #Mastodon signup flow. He tried to follow it based on what Mastodon tells him (the standard verbiage) at my site after reading one of my posts via a URL, and despite creating several accounts at other sites doesn't understand how to use any of it. This is a smart guy. The onboarding and basic explanations situation is still a mess.

#Toot! scheint tot zu sein. Push funktioniert nur noch eingeschränkt und auch die Seite, die im AppStore angegeben ist, ist nicht mehr verfügbar.
Echt schade, weil das war die einzige brauchbare #Mastodon#App, die ich gefunden habe.
Da die PWA extrem träge ist, werde ich vorerst die offizielle App verwenden müssen, die mir aber einfach nicht gefällt.
Oder hat sonst noch wer einen Tipp?
@thomas@MattCore ne hast recht, hab ich verwechselt, weil ich gestern alle Apps mal dich geschaut habe.
Schon komisch, heute scheint Toot! wieder zuverlässiger zu laufen. Gestern gab es nicht eine einzige Mitteilung.
