Photoshop has excellent selection tools that leave Gimp in the dust for me. I wonder what other free photoshop-replacements are out there (foss even better)?
Specifically needed for selecting objects, like trees and pets and people, and put into other photos.
Right. Off to do sensible things. Happy to take suggestions for artworks that should contain a knitted chicken below. I've worked through my essential list 🖼️
Sauf si des personnes ayant de bonnes connaissances pour faire sauter les DRM pourrait m'aider. Pour tout dire ça me fait d'être obligé d'abandonner la lecture de ces livres en édition numérique.
While I'm kinda happy #Adobe's purchase of #Figma didn't go through (I like that there's some competition) I do think there's an opportunity for Adobe to build a Figma-like application that leans more heavily towards graphic design and less toward web/digital product design. Give us Illustrator-class vector tools, better PDF exporting, awareness of inks, etc.
@andycarolan Xd was targeted at that digital product design market though, right? Honestly I didn't use it very much because it felt like an inferior version of Sketch, so maybe I'm unaware of what else it could do.
@lauren Oh it was definitely aimed at the digi product market. I only defaulted to that because I have a CC sub already, so it was zero extra investment for me.
Figma is a much better tool of course, and supported by more plugins etc.
Dark patterns galore: Lowering your #adobe licenses is no problem, but if you want to lower them to 0 then all of a sudden you'll have to go through chat support 🙄
@Skoop@SenseException IIRC there was some trick to change your address to some random place in California and then a cancel button appears as it is against the law to not provide it over there
My Adobe Creative Cloud plan was about to increase to over $60/mo and my renewal date is in a week - so I went to cancel it. #Adobe immediately offered me $20 off the monthly subscription price. I still opted to cancel my plan (which I've had since 2017). Then they offered it to me for $30 less - so I took that deal.
Why do #tech companies treat their loyal customers this way? It's so dumb.
Want a good deal on subscription #software? Go break up with them and they'll sweeten the deal.
This is so much better than our first #videoTest, and more what I had in mind when it comes to our #vectorArt in the framework of Inkscape #tutorials.
Hopefully, #MastoArt & #FediArt followers are more interested in #Inkscape, this time. Of course that's among our main reasons to make videos in the first place, not just selfish promotion. Every time one of our videos will turn an #Adobe#Illustrator user into an @inkscape artist, we are promoting #FreeSoftware successfully.
