I don't think "affordable housing" is solely a "low" income issue anymore. I absolutely refuse to pay more than $1000 for a one bedroom apartment. I don't care if it's on the lawn of the White House. Going rate within 50 mile radius of me is $1,400-1,600/mo. in "similar" suburban cities (aka not by the airport) or in the higher crime areas of downtown. I pretty much am being pushed to South Carolina, Tennessee or Alabama.
The misuse of the word affordable has me riled up.
