Home. First cuppa tea consumed. It's raining here! Sorry, #Adelaide, I really tried to do my best with the rain! Hoping the sore throat is #allergies and #stress and not the spicy cough, because parents refuse to wear masks. Wonderdog sang me the welcome song of her people ("Aroooooo! AROOO roo roo!") which is reserved for special occasions, and I think I'm going to bed, and partner snoozing too. Thank you, MastoFam, for your love and support, you lot are brilliant. #CaityTrip
I do not usually suffer from allergies but something got to me yesterday that had me sneezing all day and forced me to take a couple of allergy pills (twice during the day) which eventually stopped the sneezing but also made me tired & groggy, forcing me into bed early.
Woke up w/o any symptoms, so hopefully the allergen that kicked by butt yesterday has passed on. 🙏
I'd already been using Flonase for the runny nose. Later today, I'll start my at least annual regimen of Claritin, which to be fair, should probably have happened a couple of weeks ago. If it had, I might have been able to avoid this nastiness.
My only excuse is that I'm living in a new place, and didn't realize just how much the pollens around here would affect me. 🤷♀️
A lawsuit filed in Northern California's federal district court against Dunkin' claims that the chain's policy of charging more for nondairy milk is discriminatory. The named plaintiffs suffer from lactose intolerance and milk allergies, and the complaint alleges that imposing a surcharge for alternative milk violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. Here's more from Eater.
I’m currently experimenting with my diet because of my #allergies and constant sinuses problems. Stopped eating a lot of things and I’ve been feeling great. Now reintroduced tomatoes and I have a runny nose within 2h after eating one of my favourites - spaghetti bolognese… I earlier suspected the same of ketchup… My life is getting more strict and dull every day…😩
I need a DEEP clean, general purpose vacuum but especially for cat hair in rugs. I have robo vacs, I have a cordless stick vacuum for quick cleanups, I have a carpet cleaner I hope to use as little as possible.
Seeing suggestions for this though it looks...interesting. Pricey but not quite as bad as I expected for "high end". I'd say this is my absolute ceiling and it better change my life &last 10+yrs https://www.sebo.us/product/felix
"We found that exposure to light at night was associated with higher odds of allergic diseases, with the strongest association observed for ALAN exposure, followed by evening #chronotype and exposure to night shift work."
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved an asthma medication to reduce reactions in people with severe food allergies. While those who take the drug, called Xolair, will still have to avoid the food that causes their reactions, they should be able to tolerate an accidental exposure without severe body response.
