’s algorithm has been “off” the past couple of months.

As a viewer, I constantly see recommended videos that are from hyper specific niches that have zero overlap with my interests or watch history.

As a , I hate looking at my . My videos get suggested for completely irrelevant audiences and it tanks my reach because obviously nobody clicks.

My comment if anyone is interested + screenshots of some of the videos under which was suggesting my hyper-specific, content.

Why in the world are my videos getting recommended under these?

There is no overlap in topic and even the list here is so all over the place and basically nonsensical.

Of course my CTR is basically non-existent. These audiences wouldn’t want to see my content. They are not my audience.

Marketers: my number-one tip for making a cold approach to a prospect is DON’T DO IT. If you’re going to, anyhow, my number-two tip is: Do not pretend it’s a warm approach.

Tip number three? If I ignored your first cold email, don’t send a second one that pretends like we’re in a conversation or that I owe you my availability for a call.

If you did your homework on me and sent 100 emails, but I’ve never replied, email number 101 is still a cold call.
