Used to watch Tomorrow's World when young (was it before or after Top of the Pops?). Inventions seemed to be presented as potentially for the benefit of all. Or that's my memory of it anyway.
If it was still on it'd probably just be a schill for tech product press releases and news of the latest ego extension project of various man-baby oligarchs.

You don’t fucking get it, we want a decent wage, to be able to afford food, to be able to heat our homes and cook without going skint, we want money left over at the end of the month, we want the super rich corporations to pay a fair share of tax, we want a decent NHS, you utter twat

Music pioneer, Delia Derbyshire. She set the stage for a lot of the modern music we hear today. She was an innovative genius. And, yeah, she arranged the original Dr. Who theme.

@steren & I had a chat a while back about our serverless log processing pipeline which I built on Google Cloud using Cloud Storage, Eventarc (PubSub), Cloud Run & BigQuery. We talked a bit around scaling & other interesting stuff.
The comms fairies then weaved their magic & turned it into a blog post:

Right now....

Now has topped another poll, made history again in

A not so gentle reminder.... doesn't need the hot takes from the likes of or another English media outlets about what our vote means. We know exactly what it means, why we voted the way we did and what we want to happen.

Yes, are the largest Unionist party but Sinn Fein are biggest party in - by 20 seats in local government!

Time to start paying some attention to other people....

I think the podcast that I was going to make with a friend of mine, where we try to convince each other to watch shows that we wouldn’t normally watch, is on indefinite hold.

My friend has been having a lot of health issues lately, and just hasn’t been able to commit to a time. Which is understandable.

So I’m just gonna put that on the back burner and focus more on another project that I’ve been working on.

Lorry,
@Lorry@mstdn.social avatar

@Mrfunkedude Not quite the same, but in a similar vein there's a good where the host brings in various friends to try and convince him to get off his arse and visit somewhere they say he should go to.

This complete c**t, utter, vile, piece of shite admits Brexit has failed, he lied and lied, cheated & caused the economic ruin of a nation, selling Britain’s children’s future down the river. Of course he’s blaming remainer politicians.I don’t wish many people ill,but this cu*t I 100% do

Watching in on the and I’m already moaning when he said “The only way to get around is on the water.” It is brilliant exploring Venice on foot, and just getting effortlessly lost. And so much emphasis in the programme on . Over rated and expensive! are more fun 😜 But otherwise enjoying it. And one of my favourite just appeared on screen.

Why were we not told !! Why did no one mention that this could happen !! I cannot believe there were literally no warnings that Brexit could be bad for the nation !! If only there was some way we could have been informed !!
