#OnePersonOneVote could seriously increase turnout for presidential elections in all areas. Democrats in deep red states would have a better motivation to vote for President, same as Republicans in blue strongholds.
@TonyStark Republican politicians in GOP states will never agree to eliminating the Electoral College. Another approach is to encourage willing and able Democratic voters to move to swing states.

Had a conversation with my friends today about why #Austin is failing to be the next #SiliconValley, despite the “progressive” nature of the city, the lower cost of living, the zero state income tax, and all the incentives they’re pushing to tech companies, and I’m wondering if it’s because it’s LITERALLY SURROUNDED BY #TEXAS.
If you’re not a conservative cis-het white able Christian man (or his cis-het child-bearing wife), Texas literally wants to exterminate you. If you have a uterus, they want to control it. If you want to teach your kid about black history, they want to prevent you. Austin may be an oasis, but it’s very much part of the state.
Maybe that’s why tech people don’t want to move to Austin. Have you seen who does tech every day? The same people they want to kill and control. Maybe that’s why they’re not attracted there. Just spitballin’ here.

I'll vote #Biden a thousand times before I vote for any #Republican. Of 8 billion times. That said, could it hurt anyone to get rid of all the current candidates and already elected politicians and replace them with new ones? 😁. There must be a bunch of people out there educated enough to do the job way better. I'm really impressed for example of #washington state candidates. They are always highly educated people. #California candidates are usually just randoes. Which it's ok.."for all".
If a far better candidate than #joebiden showed up like a random #zelensky for example, I would want to vote for him. But there's a big chance that each of them gets 25% of the vote and #trumpfus gets 25% while a bag of chilli and three rocks gets 25%. Our voting system sucks balls.
