Three years. Three fucking years of zero #COVID in my home.
Now my husband is quarantined downstairs for who knows how long, and I’m building a Corsi-Rosenthal box for the living room, because the HEPA air purifier with the UVC light is camping downstairs with him.
I tested negative earlier tonight, really hoping I manage to stay that way.
Some are curious about my age because of my recent birthday. As an older woman you must understand I'm a bit reticent to share that information. But, what the Hell, I trust you all. 😊

Ordered new SIM cards for our phones this weekend. They arrived yesterday and I discovered I'd overwritten the account password in my password manager. My fault, obvs, they made me enter a PIN and the PM prompted me to update and I clicked it without thinking.
Yesterday I spent a large chunk of the day trying to reset my password and discovered none of their password reset tools work. Awesome! Got on the phone and talked to a robot. No help there. Do they have any humans? #fml#canadaCellPhones
Update: We pushed his trip back a few hours, but now we're being made to feel like this was our fault when it was originally agreed that he'd pay for his own Ubers and stuff, especially when we told him we didn't have much money to begin with.
If anyone can please assist with this, I'd be really grateful.

Okay, slightly annoyed and worried, and I really don't like being put in this situation.
So my friend was supposed to pay for his transportation back to the bus station so he could return home. Unfortunately he's broke and I'm 11 dollars in the hole already.
He's supposed to catch the bus to get back to the cities in an hour, all paid for in advanced, but I lack the money to put him on a Lyft or Uber to get him to the station.
If anyone could spare like 30 or 40 dollars at the absolute most, I'd appreciate it. 11.99 for the negative value of my account, plus 30 or so to account for transportation cost and tipping the driver.
I can pay you back next week if you'd like.
I was under the impression he had the money so this wasn't ever really a concern until just literally like five minutes ago. Beyond that, if I don't get him to the bus stop, that means he's godda stay here longer, and I don't have the food stuffs or resources to host him another week until I get paid.
I lost my phone in the Rogue. I know it's there, it's connected to the Bluetooth and everything, but I cannot physically locate it anywhere in the vehicle
Unfortunately, I lost my Ansible playbook collection that set high availability for MySQL, or MariaDB, and NFSd on Debian Linux. It's frustrating, but I'll have to rewrite it. However, I believe I can type the commands faster than writing the playbooks again. On the bright side, it's possible that the playbook collection still exists on my second backup hard disk, which I keep in another city. Either way, I'll be able to complete the task quickly by typing commands. #fml#sysadmin#linux#debian
I received domain renewal notices from Google domains in my email, which served as a reminder of the slow progress I made so far and failures of my side projects. #FML
Almost walked out of work this morning after I was asked why I left the window unattended. I had walked across the lobby to turn the lights on out there. (They were still on dim) I was 10 seconds away if anybody had come in.
Apparently I'm supposed to let the bosses know the lights are off so they can call facilities. I literally spent less than a minute walking over & pushing a button that the facilities guys showed me so we wouldn't have to call for something that stupid.
desperately trying to persuade my daughter to want to get her hair cut (time issues, plus it’s impossible to get it to stay tied up for longer than half an hour…) and she tells me tonight,
“I want to be like that princess with no shoes and the purple dress!”
i.e. Rapunzel, the princess with literally the longest hair a princess has ever had 🫠 #fml
Been transferred to U of L Trauma Unit. Just got back from another round of X-rays & CT scans. Will be having screws put in my pelvis at 6:30, unless the last scan shows a break in my neck. If that happens, the neck gets done first.
Well, fuck a doodle doo. My pubic bone has detached from my pelvic bone. Something is bleeding & they aren't sure if it's that or if I have a bowel injury as well. Dr L is consulting with the surgery team to see if they can handle it here or if I have to be transferred to a trauma center. Either way, I'm having surgery, probably this afternoon.
