Domestic bliss at #LikaLodge : It’s #raining. I made a bed for the #Dog. #Bike is here too, covered a bit. #Fireplace & #tea. This morning I had breakfast at sunrise, under #Lipa / #Linden . Earlier I made a room-divider from a #patchwork curtain I got at #DeGrowth conference last year. Memories & fantasies… plus enjoying the moment!
Tonight is the first night of the season that someone nearby in #Worcester has a wood fire going in their #fireplace. Welcome to #fall a couple weeks early!
Before and after work on the #fireplace
Lots of hard work, paint stripper (water based), heat gun, scraping, sanding and water later and it's almost done. Not too shabby.
Landscape, chimney and roof in the foreground and a forest full of colors in the background. A joy of landscape.Location: Pyrenees, Ripollès, Catalonia, Southern Europe. Fine Art Prints
I had a long day of errands and chores, so I'm only just now catching up with the TL. But before I dive down that rabbit hole, I think we should take a quiet moment to pause, reflect on the day, and think about THREE GOOD THINGS™️!
💰 With all the month's accounts are paid, there's a bit left over in the household budget!
🔥 The smell of wood smoke from the neighbor's #fireplace.
Love this mythical creature on a fireplace at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. I'm not too sure what it's made from, but it looks like a ceramic of some kind.
I like green but, on a #fireplace ? Really? Paint stripping in progress on an edwardian fireplace. The layers are White paint, magnolia, willow green, olive green, black and then natural sandstone.
