I prolly made a silly decision, but given for most of today i've been testing this alternative #Friendica instance, i thought i'd not yet change its weirdarse default avatar to my own one, til i was absolutely sure it is a goer. Afaict it seems to be coming along pretty nicely [vs my sad venera & libranet Friendica instances whose server has been having apoplexy for ~36 hrs+ & on which i've now given up]. If tomorrow morning anonsys.net still seems good, then i'll formally upgrade it to my new daily fedi, signified then by my proper avatar... 🤞
My #ActivityPub server is receiving “GET /poco” requests from #Friendica servers (based on the user-agent). Can anybody point me to the documentation for this behavior? #AskFedi
@omz13@hypolite I see now what your talking about. This is super weird. Maybe a bug in federation between the newer version that masto.social is running and #friendica since the thread is all intact on my version of mastodon.
Ich bin ja eigtl. ziemlich zufrieden instanzmäßig mit Sharkey. Mein Zufriedenheitslevel liegt bei etwa 80 % diesbezüglich. Wer mich kennt weiß, dass das schon extrem gut bewertet ist. In den letzten zwei Wochen habe ich mich noch mal genauer umgeschaut bez. #Sharkey, #Iceshrimp & #Firefish. Dazu habe ich ja auf meinem Backup Account auch kürzlich eine Umfrage gestartet. Die ist zwar noch nicht zuende, zeigt aber jetzt schon wie die Sachlage ausschaut.

Da die ganze misskey Basis 'nen ziemliches Chaos ist, arbeiten sie aktuell sogar an einem kompletten rewrite und kommen wirklich gut voran. Ist noch etwas Arbeit, ins besonders im Frontend, aber ich bin zuversichtlich, dass wir bis zum Ende des Jahres 'nen ordentliches release haben werden.
Das fand ich schon sehr spannend und ich freue mich auf den Tag wenn da ein Release kommen wird.
Und da mein erster und einziger Test von #Friendica schon sehr lange her ist, möchte ich mir das auch noch mal genauer anschauen.
Ich werde 100 %ig bis Jahresende weiter mit Sharkey fahren bzw. bis zum Release des "neuen" Misskey. Dann werde ich neu bewerten und schauen ob es FÜR MICH noch besser geht als mit Sharkey. Vielleicht legt ja bis dahin einer der anderen Kandidaten noch mächtig zu oder es kommt ein neuer großartiger Player mit ins Spiel. Jedenfalls wird dann eine Entscheidung fallen zwischen Sharkey, Misskey oder Friendica (?) wenn nichts ungeplantes passiert.
Mastodon wird nicht mehr in Betracht gezogen. Das liegt mittlerweile BEI MIR weit abgeschlagen ganz hinten weil zu viele Beschneidungen und fehlende Features. Ich betone extra "FÜR MICH" weil ich das nicht für alle schlecht reden will. Wenn 1 damit zufrieden ist, voll ok. Mir gefällts nicht mehr. Ich sage immer, mit Mastodon kann man im Fedi mitmischen. Mit z.B. Sharkey wird das Erlebnis #Fedi dann einfach FANCY :headbanging:

Heute Nacht dann das erste mal seit langem mit #Friendica ( @wagrien ) beschäftigt.
Ich schrieb ja gestern schon, dass bei mir die Features bei einer solchen Fedi-Anwendung wichtig sind, aber nicht alles. Es muss sich auch gut anfühlen(Macke von mir). Also ich muss mich wohl fühlen. Dieses Wohlfühlen wird generiert durch Features, Handling und Aussehen.
Was bei meinem eher kurzen Test damals schon aufgefallen ist, das Aussehen kommt (für mich) sehr altbacken und wenig fancy rüber.
Zum Handling kann ich noch nichts sagen. Die Menge an Features, Einstellungen & Co. erschlagen einen regelrecht am Anfang. Da wirds bissl dauern bis alles erkundet, eingestellt und optimiert ist und bis ich mich da etwas orientiert habe und auskenne. Ist halt ungewohnt.
Welche Features muss ich mir denn unbedingt anschauen & testen ?
Wenn ich von Sharkey Friendica Profile aufrufe, kann ich einen Profilheader sehen. Bin ich bei Friendica eingeloggt, finde ich die Möglichkeit einen Profilheader einzurichten nicht 🤔
Gibt es bei Friendica Reactions ?
Es gibt bei Friendica den Bilder Ordner/Reiter. Kann man von dort Bilder an seine Posts hängen, dass man wenn man öfter mal das gleiche Gif oder Grafik nutzt, es nicht ständig neu hochladen muss und ganz wichtig, nicht ständig die Bildbeschreibung neu eingeben muss ?
Gibt es generell die Möglichkeit Bildbeschreibungen (Alttext) zu verfassen ? Finde das irgendwie nicht.

Wenn ich auf Friendica den Beitrag von Mastodon dann manuell über die Suche aufrufe, dann wird er als Empfangen angezeigt.
Gibts hier irgendwelche Tricks? Wird wohl auch an der Größe der Instanz liegen.
Ich hatte mal testweise Mastodon Instanzen per RSS abonniert. Genauer Hashtags als #RSS. Das hat dann mehr Beiträge nach Friendica gespült. Irgendwann waren diese aber dann doppelt und dreifach, weshalb ich das Experiment wieder aufgegeben habe.
