Should you create ADRs for historical decisions? This is something that I have been asked a few times recently.

The answer is most definitely yes. The benefits outweigh the effort. Get stuck in with my new blog post - Decision Archeology: Using ADRs with Existing Products

Today I evaluated for a couple of hours.

I really have to say that this is a really good tool once you switch from the default setting to the much better syntax. 😉

I'll migrate the data from my previous testrun over to logseq and go with that for the moment.

Don't worry, I'll probably never leave my Org setup. It's for another person's management and knowledge base where was no option, unfortunately.

Is there a smart way to store browser (internet addresses) that is completely independent of the browser used to access those addresses? The use case is in when is broken but I have stored my bookmarks on-line with them to make them available on any device I log into with my firefox account. Can one set up a cloud or home NAS or server bookmarks service that stores the addresses & makes them seamlessly available in etc. when logged in to that server?

@adingbatponder I'd question the need for a specific tool and its direct integration into a .

I'm using my usual tool so that I don't differ between different types of information to organize: https://karl-voit.at/2014/08/10/bookmarks-with-orgmode/

YMMV

Any suggestions of people to talk to? I need to avoid a manel!

A little thread on Feilner-IT software setup... At the core of it all is #Owncloud @ownclouders . I use it for file sync, share and a simple backup Inside that, I run @collabora and @ONLYOFFICE .
You should test it, you won't believe how fast those two run on #ownCloudInfiniteScale. I even wrote my first Linux-Mag-Article completely in the browser, with strong auth, on the way to #zerotrust, both from linux, chromebook or mobile clients. I dont do Windows or Apple, but it's avail. 1/

My long strange journey in Mac notes/knowledge management. User (early 90's) of Arrange (https://tidbits.com/1996/02/05/webarranger-handles-more-than-the-web/) . Then moved to files only. Then CircusPonies came along, which was wonderful for years. After its collapse, went to DevonThink. Wanted a bit more (so I thought) so moved to Evernote. With Evernote becoming iffy, tried out Obsidian, but a bit too fussy for me. So Hello again to DevonThink @devontechnologies

Better late on an #introduction than never. I’m no good at them.

40-year-old dude who still can’t believe he’s not in his early 30’s anymore. #CatDad. Doing #KnowledgeManagement for a #cybersecurity company, focusing on #KCS. Obsessed with #pkm / #secondbrain stuff; #Obsidian’s my jam. Missing #ttrpg time. Interested in starting #hydroponics.

I don’t post a lot: #Introverted #ADHD wallflower who’s alright at replying, shit at starting a conversation.

Well met.

Installed the Chrome extension ‘MarkDownload - Markdown Web Clipper’.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/markdownload-markdown-web/pcmpcfapbekmbjjkdalcgopdkipoggdi

The use case was that I wanted to easily capture in Obsidian stuff that I’d published online. Starting with some Mastodon posts.

The clipper downloads a web page as markdown, with the file extension ‘.md’.

"Yet maybe the apps worked all along by letting us forget. We didn’t need bookmarks and notes as much as we needed the safety of letting go."

While focused on the author is predominantly preoccupied with and how to get at information effectively.

He repeatedly returns to the concept that in order to learn one must describe ones understanding.

In that respect the blog is not only for us but an approach at self development.

I'm testing otter.ai

on the free plan one gets 300 minutes of real time transcription per month.

Otto can also otter can also transcribe audio that has been recorded previously I'm wondering if the 300 minutes count against such previously recorded audio

I'm also wondering if otter is the best solution the best transcription solution
