.𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝!
The upcoming .NET8 release is taking #cloudnative deployment and #observability seriously, and most notably with the new .NET Aspire stack.
On this month's live-stream I'll host @davidfowl, Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft and a prominent #dotNet figure, to hear all about it.
Great to see more people catching on to ClickHouseDB. We’re using ClickHouse at @honeybadger to power our upcoming logging/observability tool (Honeybadger Insights).
We’re also benchmarking a replacement backend for #Elasticsearch. Looks like quite a performance gain so far!
Will hopefully have more to share soon, but in the meantime we discussed this on the latest episode of @FounderQuest. Give it a listen:
@grafana#Grafana and Friends Meetup Munich, co-hosting with SRE Meetup Munich. As per usual, we're taking the "and friends" seriously down to the stickers we bring.
@grafana first talk was by yours truly, Philosophy of #Observability. No photo, but I was rocking my #Prusa jacket just to go with the 3D printed #Grafana coins.
Last year, I wrote a post on @opentelemetry#DistributedTracing to understand more about the subject. I also created a demo around it. I’ve recently improved the demo to deepen my understanding and want to share my learning.
🔴 I'm streaming live now on #grafana Office Hours with Paul Balogh and Ryan Perry-- this week we're talking about what continuous profiling is, why it's been difficult to do in the past, and how the open-source project Pyroscope can help with that. And also, hopefully how to read a flamegraph for noobs like me! https://youtube.com/live/pzNRvMQzrJ0
The OTel End User Working Group is kicking off 2024 with this all-star panel moderated by Ana Margarita Medina, featuring @honeycombio@mipsytipsy, Equinix's @renice, and me, as we talk about where Observability is headed in 2024.
🥳 Come and work with me 🥳 My team (Observability) at Digital Ocean is hiring engineers 🎉 #fedihire#observability It's a (big) mixed bag of "data", "distributed databases", "old bla", "operations" and a whole lot of fun with very nice colleagues. The job is strongly collaborative because we basically help everybody to.. you know.. observe things :) The job is fully remote. Msg me for details or go here: https://www.digitalocean.com/careers#anchor--current-openings ("infrastructure")
🔴 I'm live now with @javaducky and Nikola Grcevski on @grafana Office Hours to talk about application auto-instrumentation with eBPF and Grafana Beyla. Using this as my own opportunity to ask all the questions I have about what eBPF is and how close we can actually get to automagically observing everything using it... https://youtube.com/live/ZEUzucqXUnQ #til#ebpf#observability
#DotNet#observability:
one of the hot things last month at #DotNetConf was Aspire, an opinionated stack for building resilient, observable, and configurable #cloudnative applications with .NET, which comes with built-in components, health checks, developer dashboards and more.
For the 2024 edition of #FOSDEM the #Monitoring and #Observability devroom received 61 submissions, a record high, and the average quality was also quite high.
Building a schedule is a luxury problem... I just sent out the first ten acceptance emails; we have two more slots and will build the schedule with actual times once the reconfirmations come in.
🔴 Live on @grafana Office Hours right now with @javaducky and @jpkroehling talking about OpenTelemetry and CNCF - and we'll be demonstrating how the OTel demo works with the Grafana stack!
