Joe Biden has a Benjamin Netanyahu problem – and how he deals with it grows more urgent with each brutal, bloody day that passes. Thousands of Palestinian lives hang on the answer to this question. So, too, do hopes of stopping this hugely destructive war spreading beyond Gaza, and of progress towards a lasting peace.

Many doctors and medical students have torn down posters of kidnapped Israelis.

One nurse publicly claimed that allegations of sexual violence committed by Hamas must be propaganda, since 'ain’t no Muslim Palestinian resistant fighter touching your women."

Does anyone on have experience writing opinion pieces for local news papers? The admin team is about to attempt a draft explaining SFBA and the fediverse to a local paper audience. Ideally, in a way it could be customized to each area of the bay! I’d love to invite our neighbors to join us here 🎉

Also, I’d love to hear about your local paper so I can include them 📰 I would be super excited if you want to write it for your paper too! I’d greatly prefer to have a recommendation come from someone in the community than one of the admin team for the website 😅

I got a lot of heat for this two months ago, but I don't remember someone convincing me, that I am wrong. On the contrary – I think, the basic premise still holds. So I'm curious what the rest of and the thinks, because it's applicable to both:

What I was arguing for was, that Mastodon (all the Fediverse, really) needs to cost something for users, to work in the long term.

Let me explain..
