Since I just migrated from another server, I'm reintroducing myself.
Hi, I'm a cultural and intellectual historian of early modern Britain and Scandinavia. Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Oxford, looking at 18th-century scholarly culture and identity at the universities of Oxford and Copenhagen.
Hope to engage in interesting conversations on a wide range of subjects. Let's keep in touch!
"#Nobel peace laureate Maria #Ressa has claimed #Oxford University's leading #journalism institute is publishing flawed #research that puts journalists and independent outlets at risk, particularly in the global south."
I love that #UK lawyers are pre warning the police that if they act like American police did against #student protestors they will help the students immediately. #Oxford#Solidarity#BDS#Palestine
Great kick-off meeting of our #BlackHolistic project to make color movies of blackholes, funded by a Synergy grant of the #European Research Council #ERC. Partners from @Radboud_uni, University of #Amsterdam, #Oxford, #Turku, and #Namibia will work together, build a new submm-wave telescope in Namibia, and develop a holistic model of black holes. Also talked about societal impact with the Namibian ambassador, who was present. #astrodon#astrophysics#blackhole#astronomy
Again, no mention of the #Board. #AlicePerkins, then #TimParker chaired the #PostOffice Board and should have been asking hard questions as soon as the first wisp of scandal appeared.
But unlike #PaulaVennells they both went to #Oxford.
Jonathan Evans and Alan Cook - the latter CEO of the Financial Ombudsman Service at the same time as being non-exec at the PO - why aren't they being mentioned? #PostOfficeScandal
In the old days, the Guardian would've been onto this.
