Aujourd’hui j’ai tourné la dernière page de « Insignis » de Charlotte Letourneur.
Un bon polar pour un premier bouquin. L’action se situe à #rennes (ça c’est cool) et l’histoire est savamment distillée.
Perso j’ai beaucoup aimé. Une ou deux approximations de procédures policières mais sinon c’est un sans fautes. Les persos sont bien amenés, la trame reste mystérieuse un bon moment et un final en apothéose, parfait !

@fredurb1 chaque fois que je lis « mandat » dans un livre dont l’action se passe en France je saigne des yeux j’avoue… Mais bon, dans l’imaginaire collectif ça doit passer souvent inaperçu et ça n’enlève rien au mérite de l’auteur loin de là. Surtout pour un premier bouquin.
@gimulnautti I’m not aware of anything special going on after line 255. Certain VIC tricks require you to write specific registers at very specific cycles within a line, but otherwise the inner logic repeats in a deterministic way for every line, with certain functions getting disabled in the upper and lower border (even if you open them).

Alors que j'étais prêt à ajouter un autre ouvrage, le dernier essai de l'excellente @cmoreldarleux, à ma Pile à Lire de 2 mètres de haut (littéralement, hein, c'est pas une image), j'ai réussi à me faire violence et à le reposer pour l'instant.
D'ailleurs, chère @cmoreldarleux , "Là où le feu et l'Ours" fait partie de cette Pile à Lire qui est mon adorée et aussi la Nemesis de ma bonne conscience de lecteur passionné mais parfois flemmard...

@patrickmcurry There's shaders you can use to emulate trinitron in libretro but you need 1440p minimum, 4k+ ideal for it to look correct. You won't find anything system-wide that looks correct, as just 'drawing scanlines" and making it blurry you'll lose most of the extra detail you get on crt screens. It sounds odd but you need a very good screen and quite a bit of gpu power to properly emulate a CRT with correct looking graphics and not just get a blurry mess.

My #Canadian#firearms possession & acquisition licence (#PAL) has been processing for over 6 months. The team processing my application needed to ask me additional questions as I had mentioned having had mild #PTSD on my application. As a #veteran who has lost mates to #suicide, I appreciate the diligence of the firearms officers. Waiting an extra few months for my PAL is a small price to pay to help ensure my mates are safe.
