Another one: What do people use for reading out loud articles? At best on #Android? I find that #Pocket has really robotic voice, #ReadAloud has terrible #UX and I just miss the way this works in #MSEdge.
Looks like the latest #analogue pocket (or maybe the core updates? I did it all at once) finally lets you use the different filters on pretty much any core.
News from the land of hobbies:
I have learned to hand-sew a neat 90° corner, and pretty nifty semi-decorational pocket. I attatched it to my old slacks and it is actually functional. (:
Next trial - hidden pocket.
These pants will be covered in different kinds of pockets as my skills progress. :P
@pocket_recommends Terrible, terrible experience with [forced] account upgrade of #Pocket - after logging to Mozilla account, I landed on Pocket with no saves at all!!!
Only after logging out and logging in, and then trying to export my saves I have somehow finally landed on the correct account, with my saves present.
Anyone knows any #Pocket alternatives with good code block rendering?
I use it a lot to read articles offline on my phone while travelling, but code blocks most of the time are either missing or merged into a single line.
#FOSS would be ideal but I can settle for proprietary options if they do a better job.
Trying out #Flipboard cause I thought it might be a better version of #Pocket and @mike is very supportive of the #fediverse. But it's very different. I'm used to having an extension to save stuff there, getting a clean version of the article and having it read to me. I thought there might be lots of apps that did all this. Maybe not. @omnivore fails these tests so far too. Eventual integration with the fedi is my dream.
Any Omnivore read-it-later app users out there?
Seems Mozilla has de-listed the #Omnivore Firefox extension and is dragging their heels to get it reinstated.
Yes, the same #Mozilla that owns #Pocket, the read-it-later app.
I smell a rat. Mozilla needs to come clean on this. They are pro #opensource right?
I HATE this business model, but I do like the analogue pocket. Went and got a backup plus it's a nice color.
Would have preferred the see through but whatever
The dock is nice BTW but either put it in ONCE insanely carefully or put a little clear sticker at the bottom. It WILL scratch your device if docked wrong, and it's very hard to get in right. Extremely disappointed considering the prices involved.

Hmm, my #analogue#pocket did the thing again, it acted like it was waking up, blank grey screen for many seconds, then restarted the loaded game on the current Core.
That's not how it acts from a full shutdown OR a wake, so it's gotta either be a bug, or some "feature" I don't know about
ofc analogue sold out of the limited-edition transparent pockets in .05 seconds this morning. but why feel fomo? you can make ur own boys! #analogue#pocket#gameboy#nintendo#retro
