I see another exodus is underway. Feels like now is a good time to welcome the newbies. I was like you once, so here's some tips. First and foremost, find as many people as you can that you either know or follow on Twitter, then follow them and look through their follows for other cool people. Find federated platforms that you like the look of and then follow their members or migrate there once you find your forever home. There is no algorithm forcing things to be popular, there is just stuff that you like and want to see, and it is your responsibility to keep up with people in your orbit. It may seem daunting on the outset, but I have genuinely never been happier on social media, so just stick with it, find peeps that you like, and be your weird, wacky selves. I love you all! 😊
So Twitter is a shit show because Elon #RateLimitExceeded everyone and he's losing so many users posting #GoodbyeTwitter that he keeps backpedaling the "temporary" limit.
