my wife needs to work with the instagram app for work (yes, I know, but it is that way). So we installed it in a work profile on her android phone (to keep the data in the normal profile safe from the app). The phone is running #GrapheneOS perfectly fine.
Unfortunately, she cannot access the pictures on the normal profile from the instagram app. File shuttle is enabled in shelter and works in the files app, but apparently not from the instagram app. At least we find no way to access the files.
Has anyone done this before? Any hints, tips or tricks?
This dumb bitch thought she was doing the "right thing" by abandoning a helpless #puppy in the middle of the street. All she had to do was pick up the phone, and call the #police. #AnimalControl would have come right out and taken possession of the #dog, had it evaluated by a vet, and placed it with a #shelter. But she chose her personal convenience over the best interests of the animal, and now she's pretending to be the victim. People like her are human garbage.
Not posting too much but
a #cat#shelter in Belgium needs some help to survive : 39 #disabled, unsuitable for adoption (blind, missing limbs, missing eye) needs support.
Any help will be useful.
The owner is also willing to take a second remote IT job (on top of his regular one) in coding pr DB admin to save this shelter.
Nuff, said, if you can and are willing to help, here is the link
I've been unsure about installing proprietary, tracker-filled banking apps and the like on my #LineageOS#mobile.
I've decided the most practical compromise is to just throw them all into the work profile using the #Shelter app, where there are no contacts or personal files. If an app isn't being used, I also freeze it.
It's working well, though the process has changed/reverted some of the settings in my main profile, such as tap to wake and notification sounds. Anyone else experienced this?
The decision established that minors at open-air sites were in #legal custody of the DHS & thus must receive #safe#shelter, even if they had not yet been formally processed.
The outdoor areas where migrants have been waiting lack #shelter, #food & #sanitation, which has given way to an array of #PublicHealth concerns for the most vulnerable. Unaccompanied #children & young #families sometimes arrive in poor #health, acc/to #aid workers & #medical volunteers at the sites, suffering from #traumatic injuries or chronic health conditions that require #medications that have long since run out.
@deborahh@chad Adequate shelter is a basic human right according to the 1948 UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which Canada ratified (not only that; the first draft was written in Montréal, FFS). So Canada has as much of an obligation to provide shelter as it does to protect freedom of expression or allow habeas corpus.
And yet, 76 years later, many (most?) Canadian voters still think of shelter as a luxury, or at best, a discretionary act of charity.
Why There’s So Much Confusion Over Housing Inflation
Axios - March 5, 2024
“When January inflation numbers came in hot last month, one big reason was a spike in owner's equivalent rent (OER), but the uptick may have been largely driven by a change in statistical methodology that was revealed over the last week.”
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) condemns in the strongest possible terms the #killing of two MSF staff family members during an Israeli offensive on Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, Gaza. Six other people were #injured in the attack. Late on the evening of Feb. 20, Israeli forces conducted a military operation in Al-Mawasi…

Cold rain is adding to the misery of the forcefully displaced Palestinians, specially the younger victims.
With food transport being blocked by Jewish protesters, situation in Gaza getting more desperate every minute. Most people in Gaza eat no more than one meal per day and situation for those in isolated central and northern parts are even worse.
With no internet, in most of Gaza, it's almost impossible to get a realistic view of the misery of palestinians under Israeli attack and the few reports and videos that comes out print a picture of desperate but resilient people who are suffering tremendously but still smile in front of the camera.
It's really hard to share these reports without getting emotional, not being able to do anything to end this ongoing crimes and not understanding how "civilized Europeans" can go on living their lives as nothing is happening there and let their governments arm and fund genocidal regime of Israel.
