Für diejenigen, die Android-Geräte betreiben, bei denen sie kein Custom ROM installieren können (oder wollen), hier zwei gnulinux.ch-Artikel, in denen es darum geht, wie auch ein Stock-Android ohne Root weitgehend datensparsam betrieben werden kann und wie Google-Apps und weitere Bloatware entfernt werden können:
Im ersten Teil der Artikelreihe "Datensparsames Android mit der Android Debug Bridge" beschreibt Matthias "den Versuch, unter Android durch Umbau mittels der Android Debug Bridge (ADB), ohne Root soweit wie möglich an das Datenschutzniveau besserer Android Custom ROMs heranzukommen. Es ist der erste Teil einer voraussichtlich dreiteiligen Serie. Ergänzend dazu habe ich im Artikel "Google-Apps und weitere Bloatware loswerden mit dem Universal Android Debloater Next Generation" noch eins der Tools vorgestellt, mit dessen Hilfe Funktionen der "Android Debug Bridge" über ein grafisches Frontend genutzt werden. So können auf relativ einfachem Weg auf vergoogelten Androids Google-Apps und weitere Bloatware wie Hersteller- und Werbeapps entfernt werden.

Built the #ADB to #USB adapter based on Matt Medsker's guide. Pretty easy and cheap, just a #Teensy 2.0, a female S-Video connector and a 1K resistor. Works like a charm!

Interesting. This is how an Android/MoneyMonger detects if ADB is enabled or not: it looks for development settings. This is not a new technique, but I rarely see it in malware.
Ok, es gibt wohl ein Bug mit leicht veralteten Admin Apps, die von Unternehmen eingesetzt werden, die auf #Android Arbeitsprofile einrichten. Mit dem Dezember Update für Android 14 und Installationen wie Google #Family, #Intune oder #Unternehmensportal, wird wohl die Berechtigung zur Installation aus unbekannten Quellen unveränderbar für den Hauptaccount festgelegt. Es ist dann nicht mehr möglich apk zu installieren. Nur über USB Debugging und #ADB install geht es noch.

Somebody posted this image and I suddenly remember how much I LOVED the Apple Desktop Bus mouse that came with the Apple IIGS (that’s this mouse). It’s the best low-profile mouse Apple ever shipped, in my opinion. Better than the ADB2 mouse. Better than the sushi Magic Mouse. This mouse was so light, so precise, such a joy to use.

Cuz unlike in the days of #ADB there are existing standards and working groups - but Apple chooses not to participate in those unless they get to decide stuff like in #AIM. #RochstarConsortium and as #MPEG-LA member...
