Nigel Farage has confirmed he won't be standing in the election on 4th July. However, I can confirm that he will be appearing on BBC Question Time at least 17 times between now and election day.
Re photo ID for voting. Just a note that they don't seem to accept the Post Office Easy ID app as an ID (even though that's based on legit ID like driving licence or passport.)
I don't know for certain if it's officially not accepted, but the polling station staff I asked the first time we had to use ID said no, so if you have that, don't rely on it for the election. Take along the actual ID. #UKPol#GE2024

Now there’s a GE on the way, recommendations for UK politics accounts and politics commentators who actually regularly post here (not just sporadic broadcasting or accounts that have been inactive since 2022) would be fab, if anyone has some. (Don’t worry – I won’t flood feeds with any of this stuff, although I may be a bit giddy on the night of 4 July, unless polling radically shifts before then.)

Basically its some PHP that generates very simple/awful web pages with a CSV file as a data source (yeah it should be an SQLite DB or just statically generated data - I know) to act as random bingo cards to play along with the election, cross them off as they lose their seats :)
I have just found out that the US election is on 5 November. This, together with the Tories calling one on 4 July, is a terrible, terrible joke on us proles, right?

If you're not sure about if you have valid ID for getting to vote (because of the Tories bullshit voter supression laws), then just apply for a postal vote.
The fact that they'll keep replaying the GE announcement with Sunak getting wetter under the rain and D:Ream blasting in the background is something that the writers on The Thick of It would have binned as far too farcical

Indeed, he says he's going to 'earn our trust'.... well given he's been PM for some time, and is (therefore) admitting he hasn't earnt our trust already, this looks like howl statements scripted by a advisor, unless he's monumentally out of touch.... oh, hold on
