The foolish waste of an opportunity at because a Provincial Government lacks any shred of imagination. We could've had mostly park. We could've had park + Navy Pier. But no. We're going to spend $500 million to subsidize a big glass box on the waterfront & build 2000 underwater parking spaces. Put in Rexdale near Woodbine Racetrack, as is set on a parking lot just east of the Trafford Centre. [ ] @normsworld

Back in the 1960s, two Tasmanians – Bill Mollison and David Holmgren – coined the term “permaculture” to describe a new way of thinking about farming, and how we can grow our food in a more ecologically sustainable way.

Here's how we could apply the same underlying principles to build greener, less car-dependant, more walkable cities with better public transport: https://thefifthestate.com.au/innovation/design/on-why-a-sustainable-built-environment-means-retrofitting-some-permaculture-principles-to-our-cities/

Never forget, a 13-year study of a dozen cities found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for ALL ROAD USERS. And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. As for sharrows, it’s safer to NOT have them. Via , read their article linked below.
