Shout out to Vivaldi browser for showing the link address (bottom left of browser window) when hovering over a text link on a web page. I've been wanting this for awhile now, and just realized it showed up recently.
THANK YOU! #Vivaldi
I am excited and honored to announce that I am now an official Ambassador for the @Vivaldi web browser!
This is a browser I've been using for about 8 months now and absolutely love everything about the browser itself as well as the team that makes it and the community they have built.
I couldn't be happier to endorse a browser that works as great and as quick as Vivaldi!
If you're looking for alternatives to Chrome in terms of which browsers to use on Android, Talk Android has compiled this nifty list of the latest and greatest browsers you can switch to.
✍🏾 The tech writer and journalist, Irene O., talks about how she used our highly customizable Vivaldi browser and its features, like tab stacking, and the built-in Notes and Translator.
📝 It's nice to see writers and journalists alike share their appreciation for Notes, a noteworthy tool built right into the browser. This way, there's no need to switch between apps to jot down quick notes or to add text to an existing note.
📲 It even syncs across devices making it effortless to carry all important notes on your desktop, tablet, and mobile.
The #Vivaldi browser on macOS is still weird. It has so many great features, yet …
It has no concept of custom protocols (abcd:// etc.), and instead of handing unknown protocols over to the OS, it just turns them into broken HTTP URIs.
It has its own settings, but the underlying Chromium's settings are also available.
I could go on. Instead, I'll probably take another look in 2025.
Anyone else using @Vivaldi and finding that the browser freezes when uploading files? Specifically, it won't allow any mouse interaction while uploading. #vivaldi

Vivaldi on Android: How to turn off notifications for a scam web site
Yesterday I started to get scam notifications labelled Vivaldi. Well, actually they were labelled "Vivaldi adminivista.com".
I naturally became worried and wondered if my phone or account had been hacked. I turned off Vivaldi notifications, and the scam notifications stopped coming.
Today Vivaldi suggested that I should enable notifications. I did so, and now the scam notifications returned.
I finally figured out how to stop just these notifications: In Vivaldi on Android, open settings -> web pages -> notifications -> web sites, and look for a likely web site, in my case adminivista.com, open that item in the web site list, and turn off notifications for that web site.
I made the way to delete some cookies from #Vivaldi#browser then cdrom.tokyo came back.
Tried to make a post with a gif image in. Suddenly cracked down and got blank. Had to delete the cookies again. Just sent some text, took some seconds to post.
Why it takes too long time for a post?
Why it fails when I upload an gif?
The President of Iceland Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson @presidentisl has something in common with our Software Engineer, Geir Gunnarson and it involves the ocean.
Find out what it is and read about why the President and his wife, First Lady Eliza Jean Reid, made a visit to our Iceland office last week. 🌊👇
I really made a mess...
Because I tried to disable the Linux keyring, I deleted something that made web browsers unable to save the logins/passwords, so I have to log in every time I go in.
Me stupid... #Linux#Vivaldi#Browsers#Internet#passwords#Mints
#Vivaldi browser failed again. I don't know why is that issue so singular with cdrom.tokyo site that becomes blank and I'm forced to delete all data from Vivaldi to make the site back online. (even I have to re-log in every site and make new passwords for each accounts.
Happened the same with the other apps as #Brave and Dissenter before. Is that because of cdrom.tokyo?
I don't get.
And now, the site is working so slow... is that me or the #Akkoma server?
Hello les gens, vous avez de bons exemples de page de support/aide avec une bonne #UX ? Je trouve celle de #Vivaldi très bien ( https://help.vivaldi.com ) mais je cherche d'autres idées.
I've always thought that Vivaldi was more of a UI experiment, what with all the drawers and such, but it's really benching well. I should daily drive it for a while and see how the PWA support is.
Testing the new #Vivaldi 6.7 snapshot. I'm not sure if all these features are public knowledge, so I'm not going to talk too much about it right now, but there are some very cool things coming if all of this stays in the next stable release.
The new 3319.12 #Vivaldi#snapshot is public, so the new features inside are offered to be tested and commented, so thanks for the future feedback and if you can send bug reports, for example…
